Hey Pixlbit, how's it going? Today is Batman Day!

 Batman Day

I was going to write something for this, but didn't have enough time to write something big. I was going to write something I've been wanting to write for a long time, but it'll be for another time so I can put more work into it.

Instead I'm going to write about my favorite Batmobiles. Batman has had different Batmobiles throughout the years of different shapes and sizes. Some designs look sleek, while others look absolutely ludicrous. Others are actual freaking tanks. Well, Batman needs all the help he can get on his one man war against crime. Plus, if you're going to drive in Gotham, you wanna ride in style. And it's probably the safest car in Gotham as well.

I'm going to be focusing on Batmobiles from tv, movies, and games. No comics I haven't read and  because chances are that alot of these are from there anyway. To the Batmobile!

 The Batman Batmobile

The Batman Batmobile: This one came out in the cartoon of the same name. What I like about this particular Batmobile is that it really doesn't look like your traditional Batmobile. In fact it looks like a Hot Wheels car. It has a pretty sleek design too and it comes with all the equipment Batman needs. Eventually as the show progressed, it was replaced with a new, more traditional looking Batmobile.

 TDK Tumbler

Dark Knight Trilogy Tumbler: The Batmobile as seen throughout the Dark Knight Trilogy, known as the Tumblr. This one is like a tank. It was developed by Lucious Fox. Which many of you might know, is the man responsible for all of Batman's gadgets. Including the Batmobile. One of my favorite parts was when Gordon was driving it in Batman Begins. Found that really funny and loved his how am I going to drive expression.

 Tim Burton Batmobile

Batman 89 Batmobile: This is the first live action Batmobile I was exposed to and one of the first live action movies I remember watching. I really love this design. This Batmobile also influenced the Batman TAS Batmobile. All I can say is that it's a classic that everyone likes.

 TDKR Batmobile

The Dark Knight Returns Batmobile/Battank?: I thought the Tumbler was a tank, but this one is a freaking tank! I mean look at it! I saw the animated movies based on The Dark Knight Returns graphic novel, and it's just really good. I think this is Batman at his most grittiest (that's a word right?) Then Batman brings out a goddamn tank to take down badguys. If you haven't read the graphic novel like me, I recommend the animation based on it.

 Classic TV Batmobile

Classic TV Batmobile: This is the Batmobile everyone is probably most familiar with, most likely because this is the one everyone was exposed to on tv. I remember I was around 12-13 years old when I saw the show for the first time. It was on a channel called TV Land and it was a channel that showed old tv shows. I remember watching it every time it aired. Loved every episode. I really loved the Batmobile, it looked like a car that Batman took and modified. Obviously the tech may seem dated when you compare it to the Tumbler, but I still think it can get the job done. I would love to drive this to the theme song of the show.

Arkham Asylum Batmobile

Arkham Asylum Batmobile: I really love this modern take on the Batmobile. It's like they took both the Batman TAS and New Batman Adventures Batmobile designs and combined both to make something really good. Sadly you never got to drive it, but it was really cool to look at.

Brave and the Bold Batmobile

Brave and the Bold Batmobile: This Batmobile might be Batman's most versatile of all the Batmobile's he's ever had. If you notice, the color is like the Classic TV Batmobile. But that's not the only thing special about it. It can also transform into the Batjet/Batplane which can travel in air and space, the Batsub/Batboat for aquatic travel, it can turn into the Batcycle, and even a robot. Yes a freaking robot. Because why not? Batman already has tanks, a robot dinosaur, 'm not kidding on that last part, so why not? I'd say this one is probably the best that would get the job done in any situation.

 Batman TAS Batmobile

The Animated Series Batmobile: This is probably an expected choice coming from me. This is the one I'm mostly attached to because of not only nostalgia, but because of such a fantastic show. For me, this might be my definitive cartoon Batmobile. I love the New Batman Adventures one too, but the original is my most favorite. There was even an episode dedicated to fixing the Batmobile. It was really neat.

Those are my favorite Batmobile designs. Which are your favorites? Thanks for reading and Happy Batman Day!

The Agency Supercar in Crackdown always made me say, "I'm Batman" everytime I took it out.

Then there was a car like that in Burnout Revenge that looked a bit like the 1989 Tim Burton Batmobile.

The '89 is my favorite overall because to me it's the definitive Batmobile and the one I saw first and recognized as "THE Batmobile." I tend to prefer modern takes on that style to the tanks, especially in Dark Knight Returns. I actually bought the Blu Ray of that recently and it's a great cartoon, but where the Tumbler had some character at least, nothing about the TDKR tank says "Batman" to me. It's just a tank he borrowed because Frank Miller likes to write Batman as a crazy person (which he is, but Miller seems really interested in the crazy aspect of his personality specifically).

Love the classic TV batmobile. I used to have the corgi model as a kid. The show started about a year before my parents came to Canada from England. I would have been 11 or 12 at the time. Probably saw all the episodes first run.

I don't have any favorite Batmobiles, but I have a funny story to tell.  Last month when I was at Toys R Us, they had one of those little push cars for toddlers who are just learning to walk, and it was Batman themed.  But the stickers on the sides of the car had Batman and Robin looking like they were little chubby babies!  It was hilarious.  I should've taken pictures.  I could just imagine them saying,

"Come on, Wobin, we have to catch the Widdler!"

"Doo doo daa daa maa maa goo goo pee pee!"

The Widdler? Sounds messy.

love all of these.  I can't really pick which one I like the best.  They're all great.
