BaD#4

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope now I can get to the good stuff: the games. I didn't play that many new releases in 2016 as in games that came out that year, but I did play quite alot of games. So for this I'll list all of the games I played last year, which I'll split in parts unless you want to read a big wall of text. Then I'll eventually do a Game of the Year post showing which games are my favorites on the platforms I played. So lets get the ball rolling with the PS3:

Batman Arkham Origins

Batman: Arkham Origins: This was the very first new game I got and played in 2016 and I'm pretty sure this game set everything in motion for what 2016 was gonna be like. Terrible. I have always wanted to try it and found it on eBay for a really good price with free dlc. The game isn't bad, but definitely isn't very good either. Here's a more detailed post on my opinions on it if you're interested.

Sly Trilogy

The Sly HD Trilogy: My brother gave me this one for my birthday last year. I really enjoyed the games, they were really fun platformers and really different from the Jak and Daxter games. I have different opinions on all 3 though, so might make a post for each individual game, no promises though. All I can say is that I need to get the 4th one eventually.

Fighting Climax

Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax: This one is a fighting game from Sega based on popular anime properties. I don't know most of the characters, or all of them but borrowed it from my brother and gave it a go. It's a pretty fun 2D fighting game and it's also on the Vita too if you prefer it on a portable. And no, it wont give you a separate trophy list.

  NFS Shift

NFS Shift: This one was a recommendation from a friend on twitter as they said this was their favorite NFS game. I was curious so I wanted to try it. As you know, I love NFS, there's some bad ones, but there are some good ones. This is one of them. The NFS games I'm used to are arcade styled, like racing to end to being chased by cops. This one is way different. This one is more of a sim racer, kinda like Forza or Grand Turismo. I really love it because it felt like I was a professional race car driver. If you don't know, one of the things I wanted to be was a race car driver. So at least this lets me live that dream. Plus I can use one of my favorite cars, as pictured there.

So that's part 1 of my favorite PS3 games of 2016. Part 2 should be up in a few days. Thanks for reading and...

I played the first Sly game on the PS2 and really enjoyed it.  I bought the HD trilogy and hadn't play it yet.  I picked up the 4th game a few months back for only $5.  Hadn't played that yet either.

I never played them on the PS2, so it's nice to have these HD Collections and whatnot. I need to get the 4th one. And that was a good deal for that one.

I played Sly 1 through PS NOW and got Platinum and enjoyed repaying Sly 2. I'd outright buy those if they were on PS Store, but Sony is still pushing that stupid streaming service.

I liked Origins just fine, personally. Too bad my laptop wasn't playing it well on Steam.

I mostly play Guilty Gear/Blazblue for 2D fighters. Is that game similar?

I was happy when NFS came out in 2015 specifically because I wanted an arcade racer. I just can't get used to sim controls.

Yeah, the first Sly was a very easy platinum trophy, I think it might be the fastest one I ever gotten. 2 and 3 you had to work for a bit bit weren't too bad. They should have them, like if you like em, you can buy them. Really sucks about that program.

Origins wouldn't be too bad had the game not been buggy.

Yes I suppose it is actually. They are both 2D fighters. Check out the game on a youtube video if you're curious.

I wanna try that one because people say it's like Underground 2. I'm more used to arcade styled racers, which is why I love Hot Pursuit on PS3, but like to try out different racing games when I get. I can easily get into Forza, but not Gran Turismo for some reason.

I need to play through all the Batman games. I nearly got them all for current systems last month but ran out of time to play them. I'm sure I'll get another chance with my weird game choosing system.

I have all the Sly games on PS2. Maybe I should trade them now that there's a collection out there. I may do that. Sly 3 has 3D glasses with it though. I wonder if the collection uses that.

Origins isn't as good as the previous entries, but those 2 are really good. Especially Asylum.

I really love it that they are putting out HD Collections of these games since I never got to try them. I'm not sure if it still has 3D though.

I really need to finish Arkham Origins. It's more enjoyable that I was led to believe by initial reviews.

It isn't a bad game, just wish it wasn't buggy.
