Did a mud run, now in anther town for a wedding. No gaming today. I really want to finish Lego batman 3 so i can get back to horizon.

Probably won't have time anyway and will just watch rick and morty on Hulu since I've never seen most of it.

I have to work on Saturday.  In the garden section of a hardware store, we get pretty busy in Spring.  But on the bright side, all the bags of dirt and mulch I've been moving around has made me get really strong!  But when I'm not working, I'm playing LEGO City Undercover on PS4 for a upcoming review.

Nah, I'm just kind of strong I guess.  Today at work I loaded about 100 bags of mulch, and 50 bags of soil for customers, and one guy needed about 20 bags of gravel, but that was it.  Pretty light day, really.  One day last week the lightest load I helped a customer with was 150 bags of soil.  I probably wouldn't have to do so much, but when I see a lady or an older couple struggling to pick up that stuff, I just can't sit there and not help them!  I guess I'm probably just stronger than what I look like.

That reminds me of a funny story.  During the holidays we sell live Christmas trees and I was helping a lady get one out to her car.  I picked it up with one hand and the lady looked at me all shocked and said, "Holy cow. you must be super strong!"  The tree wasn't heavy at all, but I just thought it was funny anyway.

The first time i did inventory at home depot i didn't know how to sight count and lifted every bag of mulch to count it exactly.

It's definitely a workout.

Yeah I've had jobs like that.  Power pellet strong.

Well, the boss immediately corrected me and told me there was an easier, less physical way. So it wasn't heavy lifting except a couple places from there on out.

doin inventory is a bitch whether you are lifting shit or not.

Actually, funny story, I was on LSD once, and went into this record store. It was early in the morning and it took a while, but me and my friends realized that all the other people in the store weren't customers but were all employees doing inventory.  Freaked us out, ha ha.

And that's how I spent my youth.

That mulch can be pretty heavy.  I like it when customers get the cypress or cedar mulch because it's lighter. :)

I'm going to go with RPGs mostly, and hopefully some Overwatch, but then I need to do some writing. I work at my day job during the weekend so my mind takes it easy on level grinding/Pokemon battles.

I'd like to check out overwatch, but I feel like I've missed the boat.

Well, it's over now, but I went to a comic con and played Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edtion. Sunday may see more Bulletstorm but I just got Persona 5 in the mail, so I don't know. Maybe I'll start that?

coooool.  That Persona looks great. I'm excited that it has real dungeons rather than procedural ones.  That was a real turn off to me in the other games.  I like exploring hand crafted dungeons.

Where was the comic con? Philly?

04/09/2017 at 09:23 PM

"hand crafted dungeons" I wonder if there's a market for that? I want to make a handcrafted dungeon and sell it to someone.

It was out in Oaks, about a half hour outside of Philly. Funny they call it the Philadelphia Comic Con. I think there's another Philadelphia Comic Con that happens in November that's bigger and actually in Philly.

Well u know, i just like the idea that someone created the dungeons rather than a math problem....Laughing

Yea, random dungeons is kind of a cop out. Let the computer create them.

I've been playing a lot of Persona 5 today, which is my current game. But other than that, I spent the day touring game shops.

Fallout Games in Tempe (lots of rare goodies but sometimes pricey, I found a Frogger mini arcade machine I kind of wanted). My wildest hope is to someday find a Bally Astrocade there.

Gaming Zone in Tempe, where they have a game room in the back with a huge fighting game tourney (apparently I can join if I provide my own controller), a Vs. Super Mario Bros arcade machine, and homebrew cartridges of games like the Super Famicom version of Tales of Phantasia and the English fan translation of Mother 3. Really wanted both of those, but said nah.

Desert Sky Games in Gilbert, where I played on the multi-game arcade machine, bought a copy of Dragon Warrior III for GBC, and briefly contemplated an Atari XEGS.

that's awesome man!  I live in Sun City West so I'm like a million miles from cool stuff like that!  Maybe if I move downtown eventually I will be able to check stuff like that out!

Persona 5 yesterday for few hours plus Persona 4 Golden on my Vita while I was downtown.

I haven't played Mass Effect for a couple days. Been stuck on a boss and been busy. But I'll get back to it soon.
