I've been a fan of manga ever since the day I first laid eyes on the Dragon Ball manga after falling in love with the show--which goes back almost 20 years. Unfortunately, I'm not reading as much as I used to. There's still a small stable ofr series I make sure to follow regularly though:

- Hajime no Ippo - My favorite manga of all time, easily. A sprawling 20+ year old work, it follows Ippo as he rises from a shy, bullied high school kid to one of the top ranked boxers in the World. Throughout the series, Ippo is motivated by finding the answer to one question: "what does it mean to be strong?" Intense, heart pumping fights and wonderful writing have made nearly all of the series 1042 chapters (!!) a joy to read. I can't recommend it highly enough.

- One Piece - The best manga in Shonen Jump right now, and one of only two I still enjoy reading in the wake of Naruto and Bleach's long term rot. The vast, sprawling world of pirate adventure that Oda has crafted is such fun to get lost in, and it's one of the few stories in any medium in which I absolutely love ALL of the main characters. And despite being nearly 20 years old, there's enough potential here for another 10 or more if the author wanted it. I'll be sure to keep reading it until the end.

- Beelzebub - The second Jump series I still follow weekly, Beelzebub has been hilarious and badass in equal measure from the first chapter. It follows Oga, a violent delinquent with a shark-toothed grin, who gets branded as the adopted father of Satan's infant son Beelzebub. The series follows him as he takes on other demons and spiritually endowed humans as he gets wrapped up in the warring politics of the demon world. The series always finds new ways to make me laugh, and Oga's relationship with Beel is genuinely touching. It's been great seeing them grow together.

- One-Punch Man - Another action-comedy deal, which completely turns genre convention on it's head. Instead of it focusing on a would-be hero's rise to power, it instead focuses on a bland-looking bald schleb who can easily destroy anything with one punch (hence the title). Hilarious writing and brilliant art from the artist on Eyeshield 21 make this improbable premise work from chapter to chapter, as Saitama trolls his way up the ranks of the Hero Association with a power no one can comprehend.

So what manga series do you follow (if any)? Let me know in the comments.

I'm still reading Naruto.  I can't stop until it ends. Laughing  Also reading Mysterious Girlfriend X.

People keep telling me to check out One Piece.  I'll get to it one of these days.  I would like to read Bleach too.

You really should take up One Piece. One thing, though; while the series is good overall, it doesn't realy ramp up until a few volumes in.

I had One Piece recommended to me by a former boss, but have never read a manga, only occassionally a graphic novel or comic book. I'd also be interested in Full Metal Alchemist, especially if Netflix doesn't ever get that last season of Brotherhood.

Man, I haven't read a manga in years. The last one I can remeber reading was a bit of Chapter 6 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.

I'd love to find a cool manga to add to my comics pickups every week. I've read some of the Culdcept manga once. That's about it. I'd like to know about more of them.

I haven't really found a manga that I really like yet.  Reading backwards confuses me. :)  But then, so does reading forwards. :)

I was following Fullmetal Alchemist and I was hoping to finish it before delving into its two adaptations, but since I'm in Belgium and I won't have (unless I find it here) the manga for atleast one year, I might as well start the two series.

As for others, i've read on the internet the first chapters of One Piece, Detective Conan and Mahoo Sensei Negima. Haven't given them much time though.
