BTW I think you ment to say Otomedius Excellent rather than Otomedius Extreme at the tail end of the review ;).

Otomedius Excellent Review

Death Smiles is one of my favorites on 360, I was going to write a review for PixlBit when I was on staff but some stuff didn't pan out. Anyways, the top SHMUPS on 360 that is available in North America are Ikaruga, Radiant Silvergun, Death Smiles and Deathsmiles 2. Treasure and Cave own the genre IMO.

It's a shame that Otomedius is a middle of the road game since it falls under the Parodius lineage. I do still want to get a copy of this but maybe during a sale.

What a shame, this looked neat but I guess it fell for the same fate that Flip's Twisted World had.

Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games Review

I didn't know that Blockbuster dropped their rates to rent a game, the Blockbuster that I used to work at still charges $8.55 for a rental. ($7.99 + NJ tax).

PSone Classics Won't Work With Vita at Launch

Posted on 11/29/2011 at 12:10 AM | Filed Under News

This article is a bit incorrect. At launch PS Vita is not compatible with Game Archives (which include stuff like PSone and TurboGrafx 16). Key point is that it's not supported AT LAUNCH and according to Sony's FAQs, Sony will share details later for future support.

Oh I do know about IGN's review of these games.

Samurai Warriors: Chronicles Review

Good and fair review Nick. Glad that you actually gave this game a fair shake rather than give it a low score and say that the formula hasn't changed and consequently give it a low score and be done with it.

I actually tend to enjoy the Samurai Warriors, Gundam Warriors, and Sengoku Basara versions over Dynasty Warriors for some reason but I enjoy them for the most part. I think these games like the Mystery Dungeon games have an "acquired taste" to them, and I can see why someone wouldn't like Samurai Warriors or Mystery Dungeon based games.

The Used Game Sale Conundrum

Posted on 06/28/2011 at 09:08 PM | Filed Under Feature

While it won't affect me in a big way since I find the mercs mode in each Resident Evil game re-playable, I doubt that I will get rid of this, then again I rarely get rid of games. I can still see how some people will be frustrated that they can't delete save data.

I think the PSN DRM implementation of some Capcom games is 20 times worse than this anyways.

Duke Nukem Forever Review

I wouldn't count out Gearbox yet, if they are given the time then they can put out an awesome title such as Borderlands. With that in mind they are still very hit or miss since Samba De Amigo on Wii wasn't that great and quite frankly they haven't made many memorable titles (at least from my point of view).

Duke Nukem Forever Review

Is anybody surprised that this game ended up being horrible? Perhaps Duke Nukem: Forever In Limbo would have been a better fate for this title.
