Nerds Without Pants Episode 276:Kiryu Would Never Hit It

Ohio is less bad than we thought!

Welcome back to a games-packed edition of Nerds Without Pants! We have most of the big recent releases to talk about, some smaller ones that may or may not be up your alley, and even a little movie talk. Plus, headlines and your emails! Well, email, singular. Should the Banana Boat be drydocked?

Nerds Without Pants Episode 258: The One With Final Fantasy XVI

The legacy of the crystals, blah, blah, blah

Welcome to a big edition of Nerds Without Pants! It’s a slow news week, but that’s okay, because we have a lot to say about Final Fantasy XVI, and a good amount of emails. Enjoy!

Nerds Without Pants Episode 184: The Mod Squad

Control Alt My Feet was robbed.

Hey, it’s another episode of Nerds Without Pants! It’s a pretty good one, I think. This post is lackluster at best because I got two hours of sleep last night, which is not even long enough to sleep through this episode. That makes sense, right? Cool.

Grand Theft Auto VI: Exclusive Hands-On Preview!

It's so REAL!

After conquering 2018 with the hyper-realistic open-world cowboy simulator, Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar has certainly not been resting on its laurels. As many of you now know, the highly anticipated hyper-realistic open-world crime simulator, Grand Theft Auto 6, has been announced. Thanks to the hundreds of hits my writing for PixlBit has amassed over the past nine years and the runaway popularity of my podcast, Nerds Without Pants (tens of satisfied listeners!) I was given an exclusive look at this upcoming juggernaut. Don’t worry, I got hands-on with this sure to be life-altering video game months before the Covid-19 epidemic. Now that my embargo has been lifted, the story can be told at last!

Dark Souls: Remastered Review

It's the Dark Souls of Dark Souls!

Nine years ago, I reviewed Demon’s Souls, and I’ll just say that at the time… I wasn’t a fan. I struggled to wrap my head around the gameplay and what made it special absolutely eluded me. Despite my contempt, when Dark Souls went on deep discount, I couldn’t resist the sale and grabbed a copy. Perhaps it was fate, but purchasing Dark Souls that day set into motion an obsession I never expected to take hold of me.

Code of Princess EX Review

I probably liked this a little less than Angelo.

For those familiar with the 3DS release, originally published by Atlus, Code of Princess EX is a technically and visually upgraded version of the game. Outside of the nicer coat of paint and a crisp 60 frames per second, a variety of other changes were made that have a fairly significant impact on the progression of the main quest. Regardless of the evident love poured into this HD upgrade, Code of Princess EX can be a bit of a slog that will likely only appeal to the most dedicated of brawler fans.

Nerds Without Pants Special: E3 2017: The Hottest Takes

I made a terrible mistake coming here.

Welcome to our next (an likely final) special from E3 2017! Angelo steps out of the woods and hasn't heard a speck of E3 news, so the bulk of the show is Julian filling him in on everything he's missed. Enjoy the hilarity as Angelo reacts in real time to the Xbox One X, that odd Shadow of the Colossus remake, and the announcement of not one, but two new Metroid games.

Sony Stays the Course

Not much new at E3 2017, but maybe we didn't need it.

Let’s face it: while Microsoft has plenty of lost ground to make up for, Sony has been sitting pretty since the beginning of the 8th console generation. Even with the waves being made by the Nintendo Switch, there probably isn’t much that Sony needs to do to keep their position in the market secure. So their E3 presentation this year was a deliberate, measured, and comprehensive volley of games, even if there was little to surprise viewers.

Nerds Without Pants Episode 115: Nerdy Dialogue

Or: Cave Johnson: We Hardly Knew Ye

In the final Nerds Without Pants before E3, the Pantsless Ones get together for a slightly modified episode. We’ve still got our Stage Select and Chrono Crossing segments, but Consumption Junction is replaced with our E3 hopes and predictions. This is a fun episode with lots of surprises, so let’s get to it!

Nerds Without Pants Episode 113: The Fourth is With Us

Can't believe how many of you got the wrong answer...

Welcome to another episode of Nerds Without Pants! I’m gonna level with you: this is either going to be your favorite episode of the year, or the thing that makes you yell at Julian, who has clearly gone mad with editing power. With that warning out of the way, let’s get to it!
