The PixlBit staff got together to talk about their excitement for the Wii U. Join Us!
With the Nintendo Wii U rapidly approaching, we here at PixlBit have been trying to give you the best coverage we can. You can find previews all over the net, but we wanted to do something a little special and with more personality than your average preview coverage. You can already find JD’s wonderful impressions from the New York Comic Con, as well as his hands on looks at Zombi U and The Wonderful 101. We’ll of course have plenty of reviews in the days and weeks following the launch of the system, but the PixlBit staff got together to talk about their feelings on the new machine, and what their launch plans are.
This includes WiiWare and Virtual Console games, as well as saves.
Tonight's developer roundtable has brought to light that players will be able to transfer all of their Wii data to their Wii U. Purchased goods from the Wii Shop Channel, namely WiiWare and Virtual Console games, as well as saves can all be brought over.
Could Operation Rainfall Revive the west's dormant love for the JRPG?
Today Xenoblade Chronicles is available for purchase in the US thanks, in part, to Operation Rainfall. To mark the occasion, a few members of the PixlBit staff began a dialogue concerning the future of the movement and if it’s at all possible that Operation Rainfall could revive the west’s love for the Japanese RPG.

Jason recaps and provides his thoughts on last night's second roundtable with Nintendo and Ubisoft.
Last night, Nintendo held their second roundtable developer's meeting and Jason has the opportunity to sit in and catch the news as it broke. Nintendo hosted Ubisoft at the meeting and Ubisoft gave an in depth look at what they currently have in development for Wii U and a good number of details about the Wii U capabilities and how they will be leveraged to provide a compelling gameplay and online experience. The title was officially revealed during Nintendo's second roundtable by Ubisoft. The team behind Rabbids is in charge of its development.
The feature will be used extensively by Ghost Recon Online.
During Nintendo's second press conference, Ubisoft was in attendance and they confirmed some new details regarding their coming Wii U game, Ghost Recon Online. According to Yves Guillemot, Ghost Recon Online will feature extensive voice chat, meaning Wii U itself will support the feature. Seemingly the microphone on the Wii U controller will be used for this feature, but because all Wii accessories will work with Wii U, Wii Speak may also be compatible.

Last night we learned that Pikmin 3 has moved to Wii U, some details on Skyward Sword, and that Retro has a hand in Mario Kart 3DS. What does tonight hold? Only time will tell.
