Sony Working On Kinect Like Peripheral

A patent filing reveals this development.

A patent filed in late 2011 reveals that Sony is working on its own version of Microsoft's Kinect peripheral. The patent is for a "USER-DRIVEN THREE-DIMENSIONAL INTERACTIVE GAMING ENVIRONMENT", which involves plugging a camera into a PlayStation device and using it to track a person's movement and positioning in a 3D space.

Drake and company will deceive in more areas and modes with upcoming DLC.

Naughty Dog recently announced a new type of gameplay in multiplayer, entitled Co-Op Shade Survival Mode. Naughty Dog released one screenshot to accompany the announcement of the new mode.

Twisted Metal Review

New hardware, new ideas -- is that too much to ask?

Playing Twisted Metal is a lot like going to your ten year high school reunion.  Sure it’s great to hang out with old friends, bask in nostalgia and relive some of the good ole days but at the end of it all you go home and thank god that you aren’t in high school anymore; that you’re not wearing the same clothes, that you aren’t living with your parents and that you aren’t as stupid as you were back then. But then again there are those like Twisted Metal that peaked in high school and would give anything to go back.

Retro City Rampage Coming to PS3 and Vita

Bet you didn't see that coming!

Developer Brian Provinciano has revealed that Retro City Rampage, his classic gaming homage, is coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita today in a report by Game Informer. Some form of cloud saving between the two versions was also confirmed.

Alan Wake on PC Already Profitable

The former Xbox 360 exclusive is a big hit with PC gamers.

Alan Wake was released for the PC via Steam this past week and it's a big hit. Kotaku is reporting that the PC version has already broken even, after just two days. The port is also the #1 downloaded title on Steam.

Seaman Coming to 3DS

The Dreamcast classic is being revived.

The virtual pet simulator Seaman, originally released on the Dreamcast, will be revived on the 3DS, according to Andriasang. In a feature about Nintendo, the online edition of Nikkei mentioned the company's plan to revive other publisher's titles on the 3DS in order to bring strong titles to the handheld; Seaman is mentioned as an example of this.

Rayman Origins Review

Ubisoft delivers a near perfect port of a near perfect game.

Stunning animations and gorgeous art design make this 2D platformer a must see for all gamers. The visuals aren’t the only trick up up Ubisoft’s sleeve though. The game’s top-notch controls and level design will assure you that the flashy visuals are merely the icing on a gameplay-focused cake.
