Game Wish List [For the Next Generation of consoles]

Witchblade.  One of my favorite comics. Has been for a long time. Sara Pezzini would be such a great character. And the Witchblade is almost an entity itself. It is a symbiotic relationship they have. Over the years they've done some crossovers with The Darkness. Two good games came from that franchise. So why not give Witchblade a game. Could be really incredible.

Space bounty hunters...need I say more? Cowboy Bebop would translate so well into a game it's just too easy. There were rumors of a game once. As well as a live action film with Keanu Reeves set to star as Spike. The story possibilities are huge. This crew travels through space hunting all sorts of vermin. The characters are interesting and often funny. I want this to happen. Perhaps they will finally get the right team to take it on,and do it justice.

Blade Runner.  What an amazing world to set a game in. There was once a PC game for it. Kind of a point and click sort of game. Had some action in it and captured the feel of the film pretty well. But that was back in the 90's. Think of what could be done today. If they were able to get the actors from the movie to do voice work it would be great. But they might also do an entirely new story with a new team of Blade Runners.

Supernatural.  Sam and Dean. The brothers Winchester.  My entire family loves this show. We have watched it from the beginning. Great characters and an enormous list of creatures and people to tangle with. Demons, angels, shape shifters, werewolves, all sort of enemies you could include. The overall theme is perfect for a next gen title. So many games have been made from lame shows. Why not try one based on a really cool and fun series?

Doctor Who. Why,oh why has it not been done yet? What are they waiting for? So many possibilities it blows my mind[not a hard thing to do but still!] that it hasn"t been tried. Fans of the show would go insane for it if they did a good job. Treated it with respect and made it a great game. I love the old Doctors and the new. It's all good with me. You cannot go wrong!

I completely agree on Blade Runner. It's one of those franchises I'm always surprised there isn't a game for. It's just set in such a big, mysterious world. It wouldn't even have to have anything to do with the storyline from the film/novel. It could be it's own story completely, just set in the same Universe.

I also wanted to add that Witchblade was one of those "so-90s" comics. I really miss that kind of stuff!

It sure could. The PC game had a different lead character. Some of the locations from the film were included. Along with some people from the movie.

I do love doctor who.  I heard that the eternity clock was so-so.

They could do great things with it if they put a lot of effort in.

Nice choices - I'd love a Blade Runner game as well. With current techonology, they could undoubtedly do something really amazing with that world.

In addition to your choices - I think I speak for nerds everywhere when I say that a Firefly game would be magical.

Firefly would be a fantastic game. I'm sure Nathan Fillion would be down for doing some voice work. He should play Drake if they do a film of Uncharted. But I think I read somewhere Mark Wahlberg got the role.

The problem with licensed games is that they are such a big gamble for publishers. The studios would have to be paid for using their content, no doubt. Then you run into the problem of "If this game bombs, our development company is finished!" For instance, War for Cybertron was great, but Fall of Cybertron less so. So who even knows if they will get another shot. Don't get me wrong. I would love to see some of these IP's have some great games. I just don't see the industry breaking out of the movie tie-in gimmick in the near future. Possibly in 2 generations with the Playstation 5 and XBox 1080.

It can be rather risky to take on an unknown property and run with it. The movie tie-in games are usually dreck! With a few exceptions,of course. They get it right sometimes.

I Second Blade Runner, just make it a prequel and keep Deckard's humanity ambiguous or give it 3 endings and have LA Noir like mechanics. It'll be choice!Cool

Wichblade does deserve a good game, an action game would be cool, but i wouldn't know the best genre to bring ut her universe. Link to the Darkness games would be nice. They could make an action game out of the last crossover called Artifacts involving her and Darkness's daughter. Smile

Cowboy Bebop had a couple games didn't he? that universe should be an MMO or Action-AdventureSmile

Nice list. If I were to pick something like this, it would be a 60's Spiderman game. Everything Spidey says would be based off one of those 60's Spiderman cartoon memes. It would be hilarious to hear a villain threaten him and he responds, "Fuck you I'm Spiderman."

There is a Cowboy Bebop on PS2, but apparently it's not very good; I second the motion for a good one though, cel shading and jazz OST, oh yeah.

Wow? They released it? I had seen screenshots and then never heard of it again. Not a good sign,I guess.

There were two actually, one a Star Fox style shooter in 1998 for PSX, one an action/fighting game for PS2 in 2005, the one I was thinking of, and I think you were as well, as it was slated for U.S. release, but never panned out that way.

Neither were released outside Japan, apparently, which might be why you never heard of it again.

Crimson Skies.

I'd love MS to put out another Crimson Skies game, the first was one of my favorites on the first Xbox, thought for sure we'd see one on 360. Snoopys Flying Ace was a good pacifier.
