Im Now The Proud Owner Of A Wii U

Ok, I know this isn't saying too much right now as the Wii U isn't exactly doing the greatest. However after seeing Nintendo's E3 showings, I had to have one. Stuff like a new 3D Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart won me over. I don't have too much at the moment, but so far I have Zombie U, New Super Mario Bros 2, Ninja Gaiden 3 Razor's Edge, Lego Undercover, and the download version of Nintendo Land. Im also waiting for Tekken Tag 2, Transformers Prime, Batman Arkham City, and Sonic Sega All Stars Racing Transformed to come in the mail. Although my playtime with the system has been limited due to work, my initial impression of it is a good one. In fact, the system reminds me a lot of the 3DS. It had some great software at launch, but they were mostly ports of older games and not really system sellers. By this time next year im confident that will change.

Anyway, I don't know anyone with a Wii U so I have no friends on it. Heck, im not even sure how to add friends. If anyone wants to add me my name is Phantasystar77.

I want a Wii U!!!  I can't wait to play WWHD and the new Mario game.  I might get one in a few months though.

Its worth it, there's not much out now, but around Christmas there will be plenty of must have games.

I'm looking forward to a few Wii U games, like Super Mario 3D World, the HD Zelda Windwaker, and defintely the new Pikman.

But so far I've been really disappointed. The only games I have for it (besides punch-out and kirby, which I got for 30 cents on the virtual console) are New Super Mario Brothers and Nintendoland.  Nothing else has really looked that appealing to me. I was curious about Zombie U, but after the reviews I was kind of turned off. For the past 6 months or so the only thing I have really done with it is use it as a Netflix device.  Hopefully that will change in the near future.

Yeah I held off on getting one. Once I saw what they had at E3 though, I just had to have one.

Hooray! It's been a bit dry, but good games are coming. Pikmin 3, and the Wonderful 101 are my most anticipated games, and maybe a few of the eShop releases.

Pikmin 3 is yet another must have. I also can't wait for Bayonetta 2.

Congrats! I've been on the fence about getting one, but getting a console is always a good thing.

Got that right. There's nothing like the feeling of new hardware and opening up your playing options.

I want one but I also want to upgrade my 3DS to an XL and get a Vita. All this combined with a severe lack of disposable income means it isn't going to happen any time soon,

I got a 3DS XL recently myself. Its a vast improvement over the original.

The games I want are finally coming for the Wii-U, so it may be a very Nintendo Christmas for me this year with Pikmin 3 and Wind Waker all in glorious HD. I can't wait!

Yep, late coming but they will be worth it.

I have a Wii U as well.  It really needs some more games, but what's out there is fun, and hopfully it'll pick up steam later.

I hope you don't mind but I tried to add you. I used your 360 name and it seems someone had it if its not you. Sorry if you do mind :P

Shoot I can't even remember what my Wii U name is.  I'll have to look.

Congrats man. Sounds like your making a fine investment. Did you get the black or white model? did you add an external HDD to it? Transfer any VC buys onto it yet. Also the version of Ninja Gaiden 3, does it have an online pass? I've tried to search to see if it has such but for the life of me I've had no luck.

Glad to see your still up and gaming, I won't be getting my Wii U till later on when the PS4 and the XBox One all sell out.

It was the black Zombie U bundle that came with a physical copy of that, as well as a Nintendoland download code, and a regular gamepad. No external hard drive yet. I honestly don't need one at this point. As for the NG 3 online pass, I didn't have to enter one and it didn't come with one.

Great! Can I quote you on that in my "Online Pass Watch" blog about this game? I've tried for a long time in trying to confirm that you get all the goodies offered with Razor's Edge without the hassle of an Online Pass, unlike the versions that are now released on the Xbox 360/PS3.

You can add me.

Monster Hunter is the only multiplayer game I've played aside from ZombiU.
I would recommend some Virtual Console games for gamepad. It's totally rad!

I have a ton of VC games on my original Wii. So far the only one I bought on Wii U is Yoshi on the NES since it was only 30 cents.
