oh man, I love Planetary. Are there new issues of that?
Getting Traction: A foray into iOS gaming, Naruto & Vergil raids some tombs

My secong blog here on Pixlbit, I have to admit that it takes some time for me to gather my thoughts about what's been happening in my life or in gaming. However one of the new things in my life is iPad Mini that I bought nearly three weeks ago. Considering the fact that I don't really like playing games on my iPhone for several reasons (it's too small, the virtual buttons get in the way, it cramps my thumbs etc...), the iPad mini kind functions better in the gaming department. But my main reason for buying it was to read comic books....
A $500 comic book reader?
I would like to get into the iOS vs. the 3DS/PS Vita sometime later on, right now I'm just trying to fit all those games that I download into my schedule.
In the console department, I've been playing the new Tomb Raider, Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 and DmC: Devil May Cry: Vergil's Downfall DLC. Naruto Shippuden gets off on a really intense start with a fight with the Nine Tails and Lara just gets the shit beat out of her in Tomb Raider. In Uncharted, Drake usually makes a quip about getting hurt that kind of eases the tension. Lara just makes whimpers and other groans of pain, but never really says anything about it. You just feel sorry for her for all the abuse she has to endure, but it has been enjoyable game so far. If only she brought a sweater....
Since I pre-ordered DmC: Devil May Cry, I got free access to the DLC via a website which I had to insert a code that came with the game which in turn gave me XBLA code to activate. Vergil’s Downfall takes place after the events of DmC; Vergil is weakened and some how finds himself in both a personal/literal hell. Vergil kind of plays the way he did in Devil May Cry 3 with emphasis on teleportation with his movements being more elegant and slower than Dante. However he doesn’t have repertoire of moves or weapons that Dante possess. That being said, Vergil doesn’t really come into his own until the second mission when he earns his angel powers. You can say that he’s more trickier to use that Dante. The environments themselves are very beautiful and chaotic with the environments constantly falling apart. There is a lot of floating islands in the Downfall which makes is more platformy than the main game; I found myself falling down a lot as well. Vergil’s Downfall can be completed in 3 hours but I didn’t really mind that much. Overly I thought it was very satisfying but my only real complaint is that you can’t play Vergil in the Blood Palace mode. Vergil’s Downfall worth a look if you feel like expanding your experience with DmC.
That's all I have for the moment, I'm going back to work today and I'm going to try to blog more often. However it seems that 1up servers will continue to operate, so it kind of brings a dilemma of where I'm going to contine on from. We'll just have to see what the future brings.
Laters....
