I had plans for more "ambitious" (for lack of better term) blogs with the theme of Halloween, but sadly because of problems I had during October and procrastination of my part, the plans went south. I still wanted to have a Spooky Month blog, so I decided to put a filler of songs that fit the season. Some are scary, some are not, some are Halloween theme and some not, but they fit together regardless.

For starters, something silly:

Something with a Horror B-Movie feel:

Something Metal:

Come on, it's in the name!

Something diabolical:

A Tool music video of course:

Freaking Come to Daddy:

Atmospheric and creepy:

And last but not least, ZOMBIES!!!:

There you go for your Halloween needs. If you feel like you want to be scared and this list didn't suit you, head over here.

I also would like to announce that i'll go to Paris tomorrow and i'll return late on the 27th of October, so see ya then.

Try them in the middle of the night if the scary effect works.

Lots of good choices there. I sampled all and watched Thunder Kiss '65 all the way through because, although I don't dig everything Mr. Zombie has done, some of his songs are really great. I also watched Aphex Twin all the way through. That's my first full exposure to them and I was really gripped by that video. Really scary. Love the long full scream in the song too. No one has the guts to go full out like that in a song. I'm impressed. Then I watched Re: Your Brains all the way through. Funny stuff. Thanks for all that.

First of all, Aphex Twin is NOT a them! It's a him. He's also a pretty important figure in Electronic Music and that song with its music video is his most (in)famous. And yep, dude's famous for that kind of harsh Electronic music, though he also idulges in very serene Ambient Electronic.

Not a fan of Rob Zombie, but I do like most of his catalogue, the B-movie feel on his music and he's incredible when playing live (I witnessed that when I saw him at Graspop 2014).

Glad you liked the music.

I need to check out more Jonathon Coulton. Still Alive is still one Portal thing Memes haven't ruined for me :)

Great picks overall. Have you heard Behemoth's latest album? It's fucking terrifyingly awesome.

Godspeed You Black Emperor is one of the greatest bands of all time, so excellent pick :D

I'd never heard of Andrew Gold though, but I may have to look up some more...

I'll leave you with a nice halloween track ;)

 Enjoy.

P.S. Tool videos are still horrifying.

I also want to check more on Coulton..

Nah, i'm still getting more into Black Metal, but haven't bought any album of that genre (unless you count Alcest).

I'm glad to discover Godspeed You Black Emperor. The thing is, i'm avoiding hearing their other songs so as not to get spoiled and keep the surprise.

Haven't heard much of Andrew Gold either.

Odly enough, I don't find Tool music videos scary, but more on the weird side. Still, I love them.

To finish, excellent song you posted.

Thanks for the song suggestions. my music collection for the seasons is growing a bit stangnaunt. Still prefer White Zombie's Boogie Man cover though.

Enjoy Paris and some aspects of Halloween!
