Semi Bad: Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe...

Damn, what huge relief for comic fans every where when Sony loosen the leash around Spider-Man franchise and allow him to be in the MCU. Even though the Amazing Spider-Man franchise had some good ideas, it left a bunch of plot threads hanging from the first movie and kind of didn't go anywhere in the second. Now that Spider-Man is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe; it seems that Spider-Man is going to be rebooted again. Yeah................................but this doesn't have to be a bad thing.

First, they can go Incredible Hulk movie route from 2008, just show the parts of his origins that we already now and expand from that. Then I think that they should go with Peter Parker but head straight to the Ultimate Comics storyline "Death of Spider-Man" mostly because we know everything already (Mary Jane, possible death of Gwen Stacy, the Venom symboite, Norman and Harry Osborn etc..). He'll probably was active before the events of the first Avengers movie but thanks to S.H.I.E.L.D, his activities are largely hidden and considered a urban myth until Black Widow leaked all the information at the end of Winter Soldier. Spider-Man shows up in whatever capacity at the end of Civil War just to make his grand entrance and we head into his official MCU movie. Then right at the end of Peter Parker’s first movie, he gets killed by the Osborns/Secret Six somehow. Right before the credits, Miles Morales comes swinging in; realizing that he was too late to help and save Peter. Then kicks off a new Trilogy with Miles learning to be his own Spider-Man. Miles and company with also be dealing with the possibility that Peter might be alive some where. Basically following the some of elements of the recent Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man arc from a couple of months ago. Hopefully it actually goes some place unlike the rudderless Amazing Spider-Man. One can only hope....

Spider-Gwen would also be a cool idea but that's one hell of long shot.

Spider-Gwen is awesome!

yeah i was one of those breathing a sigh of relief.  So they reboot Spiderman, it's ok, maybe this time they'll get it right.  I heard they're gonna go high school spiderman and keep in high school for a while this time.

I actually really liked Amazing Spider-Man 2. Nice goofy breath of fresh air from the overly serious comic book movies usually coming out. Oh well.

I hope they just skip the origin story and just kinda have him show up... Everyone who would see the movie knows who Spiderman is already.

I feel the same way about all super hero reboots to be honest. Just tell an interesting story please.
