Yo dawg! I heard you  like Pimp My Ride! What if I told you you could pimp yo ride in a video game about Pimp My Ride the TV show which in turn Pimp's Someone's Ride? Yeah that is sweet. Add some sub woofers, install a barbeque grill in your grill, and let's crank this up. Today I'm gonna Pimp My Ride!

I have no idea what Activision was thinking with this one. I can't even fathom who would buy this game. I mean even if you're a fan of the show what incentive is there to pimp a virtual ride?  I don't know, but let's look at the premise of this game for a second. In order to get all pimped out you need the cash to do so. In order to get cash, you need to drive around Pimp City (Yes it's actually called that.) Doing this forces you to play tedious, mind numbing, repetitive rhythm games. Some times it changes to showing off your pimped ride to local passerbys. They must think I'm hot tamales, because they literally throw money at my pimpmobile.

But you know the strangest thing about this game? Once you're tired of showing off to idiots you can then take your tricked out vehicle and go driving into other vehicles at break neck speed! That's right, I know it makes a whole lot of sense. Somehow, taking the car you just spent good money making pretty is now your own personal battering ram! That $500 or so paint job you got done? Pfft...SLAM YO CAR INTO THAT OTHER CAR DAWG!

You can also compete against other rival car pimpsters. Racing against the clock would normally provide some incentive to show that you are the car pimping king. However, these challenges are completely terrible. I didn't know any Xzibit songs before going into this game...now I know that the songs he let them use in this game are so terribly grating on my ears, perhaps  I would have enjoyed the sounds of nails on a chalkboard after a while.

The Wii version also arrives a year and a half after the other consoles got it as well. And it manages to probably do even worse. Yes this version of the game got released in 2008...well after the show had ended. So if you haven't realized this game is about one thing...and that my friends is easy money. You know what they say. You can't spell cash grab without Activision! Well... nevermind.

Analysis: Being crashed into by Xzibit in a pimpmobile.

Well, there you have it...only two blogs left? What is next to torture me?

Back when I had a car fanboy phase, Pimp my Ride was among my regular watch that I even wanted the game. However, as my love of cars got low and discover that this game isn't good, it killed any interest I had. Probably for the best.

Yeah I watched the first season I think. It was pretty unique and you certainly lucked out not buying this garbage.

I would like to Pimp My Real Ride. Get that 1991 Honda Accord all spiffy. I don't remember Xzibit songs.

Pimp City sounds like a great place to live. How would you like to have that on your address?
