I think the VC was a huge help in introducing a lot of gamers to Sim City and other such games. The whole bungeling bay thing is just crazy, I love it.

I get you. When I was a kid I played Sim Town on computer, and it was definitely a dumbed down version of Sim City. I really loved it as a kid, haven't played it in years though

I think it depends on what you're used to. Since I didn't play it on computer, I was able to learn how to play it with a controller, but it might be harder for you.

Astral Chain's combat is so great, although I agree with you that the stroy is bonkers.

For new games, I would recommend Bloodstrained: Curse of the Moon 2, which I'm playing right now, it's just really great NES-style action! Play the first one first if you haven't done that one yet.

Honestly, the only fighting game I remember playing in the arcade was Marvel vs. Capcom, which blew me away. I also preferred beat 'em ups and the like.

As usual, limitations on cartridge made things difficult. MK2 on SNES is a big improvement over the first game. Thanks for all your insight!

Y'know, I just recently saw the MK movie again, and it's not bad at all. Lots of fun.

MK is the granddaddy of violent games. I'm not a fan of super violent games either, which is probably one reason why I tend to stick with Nintendo games.
