Metroid: Other M Hands On Preview

Metroid: Other M. The name screams other; the game screams awesome.

After about 20 minutes of demoing, Metroid: Other M was much better than I was expecting. The presentation was sleek, the controls were smooth, and the story was intriguing enough to keep me interested. And most of all, it still manages to capture the essence of Metroid.

Crackdown 2 Hands On Preview

The sequel is a massive improvement on the already excellent original title.

Crackdown 2 has been highly anticipated among many Crackdown fans. It seems that it's finally here and ready to play. My first impression while watching videos and looking at screen shots is that the game should live up to the quality of the original Crackdown. After playing the game, I can happily say that it has both lived up to its potential and surpassed the quality of its proceeder.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Hands On Preview

What do you get when you merge the controls of Wii Sports Resort with the presentation and gameplay of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess?

I'm not sure why it has taken me this long to write about Zelda, but now's the time to spill the beans. In short, it's really awesome. Players take control of Link in a totally new way, this time with full MotionPlus support. Players familiar with Wii Sports Resort will have a fairly clear idea of what's available in Skyward Sword.

The celestial brush in its truest form.

Before I even landed in E3, I had already made up a list of games that I wanted…no, needed to play before any others. Okamiden was at the top of list, and ever since its North American arrival was announced ahead of TGS 2009 I anticipated my first run with the DS sequel to the critically acclaimed PS2 and Wii title.

Sin & Punishment: Star Successor Preview

My frothing demand for this game increases.

Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is the sequel to the adrenaline-infused Sin and Punishment, an on-rails import shooter originally. Though originally released on the N64, the was finally able to see the light of day in North American and PAL territories on the Wii's Virtual Console. To put it briefly, the original felt like a cross between StarFox 64 and Galaga, with difficult, but wild, over-the-top bosses thrown into the mix.

rRootage Hands On Preview

Know your roots.

rRootage is a game built for "Shmup" fans. "Shmups," for those not in-the-know, are the genre where players guide a plane or spacecraft through and around a barrage of bullets and missiles fired by many ships, typically ending in a fight against a massive boss that fires hoardes more bullets. Rrootage takes the last aspect, fights against bosses, and delivers a sensational experience through bullet hell.
