Power Gig: Rise of the SixString Hands On Preview

Rock Band 3 isn't the only game integrating a real guitar into a music game.

If you had asked me prior to E3 what Power Gig: Rise of the SixString was, I would've looked at you in complete confusion. As I came to learn on the last day of the show, Power Gig is actually a music game, and similar to Rock Band 3, the game works in the use of a real-deal guitar.

Nintendo 64 on the 3DS?

Does anyone else find it weird that Nintendo is porting 2 titles from the N64 to the 3DS?

With E3 behind me, I've had some time to reflect on what was shown at the expo this year. Nintendo in particular has me intrigued with two of their 3DS titles. As we all know, both StarFox 64 3D and The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D were both announced at the show, with StarFox being playable on the show floor.

Driver: San Francisco Hands On Preview

Players who have lost hope in the Driver series might want to look forward to taking it for another spin.

As time has gone on, the Driver series has become less and less relevant thanks to some sub par entries into the long running series. However, Ubisoft is trying their hardest to revamp the series and restore it to its once honorable position.

Ivy the Kiwi? Hands On Preview

Ivy the Kiwi? is also coming to DS, how does the concept carry over?

If you haven't read our Wii coverage on Ivy the Kiwi? yet, I strongly suggest you do. Essentially, Ivy the Kiwi? DS is no different from the Wii version aside from how you control it, and even that is mostly the same.

Ivy the Kiwi? Hands On Preview

Yuji Naka's latest effort may be simple, but it's extremely enjoyable.

As some of you may already know, I've had quite a bit of hands-on time with Ivy the Kiwi? thanks to my import copy of the Japanese title. You may also know that XSEED is bringing that title to America, with as far as I can tell, two simple but highly effective changes.

Monday Night Combat Preview

Tired of Football? Jump into the future of sports with Monday Night Combat!

Monday Night Combat, to me, looked like the best XBLA exclusive on the floor. While I didn't take personal hands-on time with the game, since it looked a little more complex, I watched a developer showcase the game, himself, rather than play it.

Twisted Metal Hands On Preview

Twisted Metal is back and it looks better than ever.

In my opinion, Sony's biggest surprise of E3 was the reveal of Twisted Metal for the PlayStation 3. I've enjoyed the series in the past, and a new entry in the series is quite welcome as it has been dormant for far too long.

Conduit 2 Hands On Preview

The follow-up to The Conduit seems to be a step up from the original.

In my opinion, The Conduit was a mediocre shooter at best. It lacked a lot of the polish that you see in most shooters today, and it suffered from a number of bugs that could often make multiplayer very frustrating. From what I saw of The Conduit 2, the developers are addressing some of the concerns I had with the original game.

FlingSmash Hands On Preview

FlingSmash is an enjoyable, simple sidescroller that Nintendo brought back to the show this year, renaming last year's little-talked about game, SpanSmasher.

When I picked up FlingSmash, I didn't know much about the game, despite its presence last year. From the name, I knew it had something to do with smashing, and perhaps a flinging motion, but that was about all. I spoke with the man in charge of the demo station, and shortly after, began playing the first stage in the game.
