Make Room for Aeon, Cervantes, Xiba, and Yoshimitsu!
Namco Bandai has now let gamers know that Aeon, Cervantes, Xiba and Yoshimitsu will be coming to Soul Calibur V. Cervantes and Yoshimitsu are series favorites and look very different this time around. Yoshimitsu has a new mask and Cervantes' spell from the evil sword Soul Blade has been broken, altering his appearance. Aeon is a new character, a lizardman with wings who can spit fire. Xiba looks like a staff-wielding character that's a cross between Kilik, Talim and Maxi.
...since some code could be legally unfeasible.
John Carmack announced at QuakeCon 2011 that the source code for Doom 3 would be released to the public as open source after the release of RAGE. However, some of the source code will probably be rewritten to avoid some legal hassles with Creative Labs.

Don't worry, they're on it!
Some users playing Skyrim on the PlayStation 3 are having frame rate issues when their save files reach 6 MB. It's not known how widespread this issue is but enough have brought up the issue in Bethesda's official forums and now Pete Hines, Bethesda's VP of PR and Marketing, has issued a statement.
Hideo Kojima has revealed his plans for the fifth installment in the series.
In the newest issue of Official PlayStation Magazine UK, Hideo Kojima revealed his plans for Metal Gear Solid 5. Konami has not confirmed the development of the game but I doubt they won't want to move forward with a sequel to one of the biggest franchises in video games.
All they had to do is name their child Dovahkiin.
Back in February, Bethesda Softworks challenged its fan base to name their child Dovahkiin if it was born on 11/11/11, the same day The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim would be released. In return, Bethesda would give the parents free Bethesda games for life. Well, Megan and Eric Kellermeyer are the proud parents of Dovahkiin Tom Kellermeyer. Bethesda released this statement: "Be it the real world or the game worlds we create, we wish young Dovahkiin the best in all his adventures. And if Alduin ever reaches this realm, we’ll be in touch."
Also, a Hori-made arcade stick is coming soon.
If you think the recently released Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is a glorified DLC pack, then I wonder what you're going to make of the new upcoming DLC costume packs. Capcom has announced that starting next week, alternative costumes will be available for download and will be bundled in various groups. Then, every other week, a new pack will be released. Hori has also announced plans to release an Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 themed fighting stick on December 8, 2011 for $149.99. It'll come with colored buttons or white buttons.
Maybe November release schedules, Call of Duty, Battlefield, and Skyrim aren't the same as life, the universe, and everything, but they're pretty close, right?
Episode 42 welcomes rookie PixlTalkers Jesse Miller and Mike Wall to the group as they join Jason Ross and Joaquim Mira. This week's episode has three main topics, the first involving the holiday onslaught of game after game after game. In particular, the group really feels like Ubisoft just didn't time their release dates well. Afterward, conversation moves to Modern Warfare 3's multiplayer, as well as the game's rivalry with Battlefield 3. The podcast concludes with some discussion of Skyrim, its dragons, and its glitches. You'll have to wait a little longer to get your loot on.
Torchlight came out in 2009 and took PC gamers by storm. It helped fill the void of loot-based dungeon crawlers that had been created in the wake of Diablo II crushing all competition for years. While Torchlight came out of a free-to-play side project created during the development of the ill-fated Hellgate: London and had a modest development cycle, Runic Games announced today that Torchlight 2 is a little more complicated. As such, the game isn’t going to make it for its projected 2011 release date.
