Winners in our hearts.

Voting is a funny thing. It’s hard to argue with addition, but there are plenty of instances where some of the staff thought a title or two got overlooked. Even though our GOTY 2013 article used some inarguable mathematics to come to the PixlBit staff’s consensus opinion, some of us thought there were games that should have gotten a few more votes. To highlight some of the games that each of us took a particular shine to in 2013, we present our staff’s personal picks that didn’t make the cut.

Enough with the laziness already!

I’m not a particularly angry person. Oh sure, stuff gets me upset every now and again, but when it comes to games I don’t see the point in getting out-and-out angry over stuff. I mean these are games, right? Sometimes though, things just collide in such a way where my honest reaction is anger; and right now I’m there.

Fire Emblem Awakening Hands On Preview

Don’t sleep on Nintendo’s latest strategy game.

The Nintendo 3DS is getting its fair share of great looking games in 2013. With games like Luigi’s Mansion 2, Animal Crossing, and Pokemon X and Y all coming out this year, there will be plenty for 3DS owners to get their hands on. Sooner than all of those comes the niche, but respected strategy game Fire Emblem: Awakening, the latest in a long series of strategy titles exclusive to Nintendo’s consoles. What I can tell you from my hands-on with the game is that not only is there a great game on the horizon, but it might just be one of the best 3DS games yet.
