Pool Panic Review

It's weird, but I'm not sure it's all that fun.

Anyone familiar with the typical programming of Adult Swim, won’t be the least bit surprised by their latest published video game, Pool Panic. It has the aesthetic of many of their shows, the offbeat humor, and preserves the general oddity of their late night flavor. It proclaims to be the least realistic pool simulator ever, and it’s not an inaccurate description. Pool Panic is actually a puzzle game dressed up as a pool game, using the basic premise of billiards as the foundation of the experience.

PixlTalk Episode 37: We're Not Gonna Take It

After some comments insulting gamers are made on the Today Show, Chessa rallies the crew to talk about the perception of the gaming culture in American society.

This week's episode comes in two parts, but the most prominent portion of the show is based around some comments made on the Today Show about men in their thirties playing games. The comments enraged Chessa upon first hearing them, compelling her to round up the PixlTalk crew to discuss what was said and how people perceive gamers in America.

Games I Just Impulsively Bought: Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland

Don't ask why, but I've wanted the game since it released in Europe over three years ago.

It has been a long time since I've impulsively purchased a video game. In fairness, I have wanted the game for quite some time now. As a matter of fact, when Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland was first announced for release in Japan my interest was piqued. When I heard it was to release in Europe I got extra excited because I knew that I could eventually play it (no, I don't know Japanese).
