This month has been pretty incredible for game announcements. It seems to be leading into and building on announcments for E3. I was first skeptical about Batman Arkham Origins being done by someone other than RockSteady. When I got the new Game Informer, I am become a believer and excited. Its on top of my list as one my most wanted. The New Game Informer shed light on The Wolf Among Us which I am more excited about as well and showed off a great looking portable Batman game. The new Game Informer is a very good issue.

The recently announced The Killer Within is a must for me. What was that about survival horror can't be done or won't sale on physical formats? Oh yeah. Well the king of survival horror is giving it a go again. It looks very twisted. I am stoked to hearn more about it.

The announcement of a Link to the Past sequel or somewhat sequel. Whatever. It been announced was a huge surprise. I remember that it was long rumored long ago. It is the sequel to my favorite Zelda and one of my favorite games of all time. It is a must own. It really making the 3DS more attractive and the Wii U must be holding out to counter the PS4/Next Xbox. It needs to because it is in a terrible position otherwise. Anyway, getting games and having most wanted is never ending. I am always happy when I pre-order games and get them out of the way and then BAM, new must wanted games pop up and its like starting over again.

  • I never mentioned I beat Spec Ops: The Line. The game was better than I expected.
  • The Batman game on handhelds is an awesome surprise, especially the talent behind it which makes it a must buy for me.
  • Premonition: Director's Cut on the PS3 is the next game that I will have followed by Soul Sacrifice.
  • Life is ok but I am really thinking about getting out of the navy. I am in the position were I have to get out of the navy if I don't make first class in the navy within a year. I been screwed over a few times preventing that but I am tired of being away from family. I am tired of this lifestyle.
  • This is the biggest year for gaming and the next consoles will impact the future of the industry.

I wonder how big June will be. Its an odd feeling of wanting to get overwelmed with exciting announcements but getting overwelmed also means probable sacrifices and or less money in the pocket because of games.

I don't know much about the LttP2 game except that it's coming out.  Will it be a physical release or digital?  If it's digital, I won't bother getting it on day one.

I heard a little about Batman a week ago.  I doubt I'll give it before a price drop.  It looks like it's going to be a great game.

It should be physical. I can't imagine them going digital only with Zelda.

I surely hope so.

The Killer Within looks great. It was an unexpected announcement, but it made me happy. I have to check my mailbox for GI magazine. I'm interested in the handheld version of Batman. I always liked the old school 2D batmans.

Spec Ops was a solid good game. I'm holding out on reviews for Premonition since I  already own a 360 copy.

Navy? Hard life decisions. Seeing all the battle ships is always my favorite part of visiting San Diego. I guess being on a ship for a long time isn't so glamorous.

I never played Premonition which is a reason why I am getting the PS3 version. I saw the review on IGN saying for those who beat it already don't have a good enough reason to go back to it. It got a decent review. I am excited for it still.

Yeah, a lot of people seem to think the navy is cool but there is so much bullcrap, no common sense, and a lot of politics.

I played Premonition on 360 when it first came out. It was good and bad- as most reviewers pointed out. I like the story and characters in this game so I tolerated the poor controls. I might wait for a price drop to buy again in HD.

I never got a chance to play the original LttP more than just a bit, so it will be nice if I can scrounge up the money for a 3DS to play it.

As for the Navy, I've never done anything like that, military etc., but I definitely understand just needing to quit a job, especially if you've been screwed over. I got out of a stressful one by graduating last year, and while progress on finding a substantial, long-term job has been slow (re: SLLOOOOWWW), I do feel good about having more freedom and not feeling so stressed. lol

Thanks for the support. It is very stressful and fed up with the bullcrap and getting screwed around. I am all for fighting freedom but I feel I get very little of it.

Did you mean The Evil Within, which is Shinji Mikami's game that's going to be published by Bethesda? I'm interested in that one. I'm a huge fan of the former Clover/Platinum team. I think The Killer Within was an episode of The Walking Dead.

Liking the new A Link to the Past - the original is my favorite Zelda game other than Twilight Princess. I do wish it were being made for the Wii U instead of the 3DS, or being made for both systems.

My biggest game of the year, now that I have Ni no Kuni and Bioshock Infinite, is Tales of Xillia. I preordered the collectors' edition. Thankfully it wasn't exclusive to Namco's online store, after the Ni no Kuni fiasco (I did get the hardbound strategy guide for free though, so that worked out okay), and I could preorder it through Gamestop.

My dad felt the same way as you in 1971. He'd been in the Navy since 1957, and they sent him on four tours of Vietnam. He didn't get to see my sister until she was about a year old because he was stuck in Vietnam, and he decided he couldn't take it anymore. Make good use of your GI Bill and Veterans' Preference if you decide not to re-up!

Yeah, I didn't catch that put in the wrong title.

I do need to play Ni No Kuni before I can give my own game of the year. This is a great year for games. There is a lot of other games this year that should be incredible too :)

I have never been in the service but i have heard the navy can be lonely being at sea for so long etc but remember do whats best for you, if you feelmlike its time to leave then thats what you should do im a firm beleiver on instincts and if yours is telling you to move on then follow them and move on Wink.

I dont know how people in the past did it without email. I would go crazy.

Yeah, I spent a few minutes googling The Killer Within wondering what that was! All I got were links to a Walking Dead episode! But like SanAndreas says I think you meant the Evil Within.

The LttP sequel is exciting. I want a 3DS even more now.

Yeah, sorry for the confusion.

Arkham Origins: YES!

The Evil Within: YES!

A Link to the Past sequel: YES!

I agree. This is a very good time to be a gamer. Now if the next generation of consoles doesn't suck, everything should be just fine.

Yeah, better than last year. That is for sure Laughing

Us both. Especially after my enjoyment with Guacamelee. I look forward to many more Vita games.
