Memorial Day, Far Cry 3 owns my life and one purchase

It's Memorial Day and whether you watch war film marathons on AMC, fire up the grill or just hang out with loved ones, we should always remember the sacifices made by our armed forces. I myself am having lunch with the widow of a WWII and Korean War veteran (like I did the previous year) and while there'll be little to no talk of his war experiences (something the man never talked about), I do cherish the friendship of this person and her late husband (he passed away a year ago).

Far Cry 3 (Xbox 360) is pretty much sucking up my free time this weekend. I'm probably fooling myself thinking I can finish this game before my membership renews in a couple of weeks because son of a bitch, this game is huge. I'm the lunatic that tries to do everything, find everything and get the most out of a game before I send it back. The craziest shit happens in this game, whether deadly wildlife interrupts travel/gunfights or you accidentally commit vehicular man/animal-slaughter. I'd feel overwhelmed by the amount of gameplay if it wasn't so much fun. It tends to feel repetitive at times so I've taken breaks from the game but I keep going back. I need more, better weapons, bigger compartments for cash, syringes and ammo. Just complete insanity.

Money has been tight these past 2 weeks but I was able to sneak in one purchase and bought a used copy of God of War 3 from Gamefly for $10. So far I haven't had a bad disc from them and this is the cheapest I've seen the game so far.

Also, the school year ended last Friday and nights shifts are kaput for the next 3 months. I'm ready to be a 9 to 5 worker like most people.

Yeah, my grandpa apparently never said much at all about his experiences at war either.

I'd love to be a 9 to 5 worker like most people. Sheesh, I hate not working.

Loved Far Cry 3. Especially taking the outposts. So many options on how to do it.

I agree. I've had to adjust my strategies every time since the amount of molotov-cocktail-throwing pricks increase in number. I always try to shoot the alarm boxes and I sometimes miss one. Basically I learn by dying but it usually takes 2 tries on average.

Glad you had a good memorial day! Ive never played any of the Far Cry games but I have heard a lot about FC3 and all positive stuff really. Its been added to my buy lsit but Im not sure when Ill ill actually buy it at the moment. My used game buys might stall jsut for a bit with me trying to build a gaming comp. Just have to wait and see. I like working nights really, Im not much of a morning person, lol!
