Well, I took some time off from here to concentrate on school, and now I'm free. Yay. So now I'll just chill. Spend some time with fam, get a part time job, make some money and all that. Since the good times are here again, I'll be away from the computer most of the time. There are some state parks that I want to visit, and I plan on being outside as much as I can.

On the gaming side of things, I've been going through some of my old games and playing them. I still have a lot of titles to get to. The last one I completed was Ninja Gaiden Sigma. It's a hard game, but challenging in a good way. So now that I've finished all three console versions, I can say that NG Black was probably my favorite. It has extra stuff from the original title, plus there are no annoying Rachel chapters to go through. It's too bad that iteration is for a defunct system. heh

This past week I went eBay bargain hunting. I didn't really find too much in bargains, but I did get a few things. I'm most excited for a complete SNES Mini. After looking for a month, I finally found one that's in good shape. It's also modded to play Japanese games. So now I can legitimately play Seiken Densetsu 3. I also found Super Mario All-Stars + World (so happy). Aand I just went ahead and bought Xenoblade Chronicles. Even though the prices are ridiculous. Frown Those plus some miscellaneous things cost about $300.

Anyway, I'll probably post one or two more times before I go on hiatus for awhile. So what are your plans for the summer, Pixlbitians? Cool

Welcome back! That's awesome you ordered a SNES mini. I wouldn't mind being able to play Seikien Densetsu 3. I've played it quite a bit through emulation and like it even more than Secret of Mana. I never did beat Sigma. I fought the last boss a million times, but the way it starts you over at the level before it when you die really pissed me off. Yell

Thanks! I just wanted to let people know what's going on with me a little bit. Did you play Sigma on normal? That's what I did on those games. I had to clear out the tower and head back to Masamune's shop back in town. Got to keep stocked up on healing supplies. heh

Yeah I played it on normal. Sometimes that last boss would kill me in like 10 seconds lol. I managed to beat the second one though. I'm actually playing the original Ninja Gaiden on NES right now and it's a nightmare! Even worse than these modern ones lol.

Ah, yes. NES difficulty. It's legendary. Kids these days. *shakes fist*

Dying on the last stage sends you back to the last boss in that game. So many tears.

I'm applying for a sales rep position today, so hopefully that pans out cause part of the reason I'm so regular here is cause post-grad job-searching has not led to much in the span of a year, other than my freelance job, which I wish would pick up more often than it does.

Otherwise, I plan to keep going with my diet and exercise, only about 15 or so pounds to go to reach my goal weight.

Maybe if I get more work my way, I'll feel justified getting back into gaming. Anyway, congrats on finding the SNES mini, beating Gaiden, all the other stuff, and enjoy summer vacation.

Thanks Joe! Yeah, I really wish that finding a job in Indiana was less stressful than what it is. It really sucks when you have to compete for a minimum wage part-time job these days. I have a 15 pound weight loss goal in mind as well. That's another reason why I have to get outside more. I just wish that the weather would cooperate more than it has been. Good luck to the both of us. =D

Hope your summer kicks of nicely. And that it means lots of good times. I plan on doing a lot of backlog destroying this summer. As the pre-console gaming drought kicks in there is always that. NG Black is so freaking hard....but at the same time it's a blast. Never get tired of the Ninja Gaiden games. So well done and incredible looking.

Thanks. You too. I think that Mr. Itagaki did an excellent job with the first one. The second was decent as well, but strangely, not up to the same level as the first. I haven't really spend any time with the third one to compare, but I'll get to it eventually. I really like the arcade style action of the series.

Hittin up the state parks sounds fun. Not too familiar with Indiana, I just assumed it was mostly flood plains and prairy land. I can't stand the heat and since I mostly work out doors I plan to spend as much time as possible in the AC playing video games. Gotta give you props on Ninja Gaiden, have yet to even get past the first level on Sigma. Didn't put much time in it really though, I was just trying it out. Always wanted to play Seiken Densetsu 3, Secret of Mana is one of my all time faves.

Indiana has corn fields, mainly. Other than that, there's plenty of forestry, especially south of Indianapolis. Btw, if you don't mind emulation for a game that will never be released in the U.S., I say go for it. The fan translation is really good. PM me if you have any questions. =D
