Slow goings-on as the summer starts off...

As of last week, I'm on day shift hours and it's been pretty sweet. The only thing is that I've been gettting allergies almost every day (either from these buildings or something in the air) and when I get home all I want to do is take some allergy medicine, lie on the sofa and dose off. It's been pretty busy this past week. My summer work mostly consists of moving furniture out of classrooms, stripping the wax off of the floors and putting down new wax, in addition to regular cleaning of key areas where staff is still showing up during the summer. Luckily I'm not doing all of that by my lonesome but it doesn't mean it's still not exhausting.

I've got plenty of bills to pay for the next 2 weeks so if I want to buy anything (like The Last of Us) it won't be until the end of this month or next month. I've got plenty to play in the meantime.

I recently wrapped up Killzone 3's campaign and I enjoyed it. It had plenty of exciting setpieces and killboxes that would drive me crazy (on several occasions, I just turned off the game in disgust). The story is ok but the villains were more cartoonish; I already miss Visari (and by association, Brian Cox's voice) and Rico is still an asshole. I'm still debating on whether I should jump into multiplayer; it may be overrun by high-rankers or players who prey on beginners but the same could be said for any FPS multiplayer. Does anyone here still play KIllzone 3 MP?

On the Vita, I've tried out this Toro's Friend Network this week and it feels like the only game/app I've had time for. It's addicting but at the same time I'm not sure what to make of it. The goal is to reach 100 friends, conquer 100 dungeon levels and build and maintain your garden and nearby areas with help of your friends. The only problem is I keep getting/accepting friend requests from a bunch of people and I'm wondering if I want that many friends. I don't know what the friend cap is on PSN but something tells me this won't pan out too well. Still, it's very charming and it was the only thing I had the energy for one night when I had heavy nasal congestion. Is this PSN's idea of Animal Crossing?

I need to get back into Ni No Kuni but I've also got some tv shows/movies I want to watch. Options, options, not enough time.

Sorry about the allergies, hope I don't get anything from the ants around when I was sawing some wood down outside just now ... at least I think I avoided the poison ivy.

And furniture moving sucks, but at least it's doing something. Good workout.

All due respect to these teachers but most of them are unbelievable packrats. It took me 90 minutes just to clear out one room Friday (granted, I was working by myself but still).

allergies suck.  especially when you get them from your job!

sounds like things are otherwise chill though.  I tried Killzone but never got into it.  I've kind of OD'ed on FPS's.  IT seems like a cool game though.

Sounds like you have roughly 2 months to clean rooms then. Summer school is what it is but it can really get in the way of work which is the only thing I hate about summer work.

Ick, allergies are awful! Mine have been better since I moved out of the city, plus, I'm eating a lot more honey, which is a homeopathic remedy for allergies. Needs to be unfiltered and from within a 20 mile radius of where you live, though. If it might be a mold issue from work, wear a dust mask. It's a pain in the butt, but you'll feel  better, trust me!

If it's building-related, I really think it's this middle school building (for 8th grade) that seems to bring out the allergies. I don't know if its mold, it may just be ventilation problems. The intermediate building is having its former front office remodeled (to be a community clinic) and that's bringing all sorts of dust, debris and whatnot into the air. Not to mention ghastly, dead animal smells. Bleh...

Definitely go with a dust mask, then. Like I said, pain in the butt, but you'll feel better in the long run.

Not much help but I played a decent amount of Killzone 3 MP last year and it was good. The community was pretty strong but somewhat dying I felt. Most games were basicly 3 on 3 and I worry how many still play today.

Most probably migrated to Call of Duty in the past few years. Wouldn't surprise me.
