Hello, I have been putting up some shorter blogs lately, I like it, then they don’t drag on for too long. Here is what I have been up to:

CURRENTLY PLAYING

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4)

For all of you who saw my other blog, all my progress was erased on this game. It is a common bug on the PS4 I guess. Didn’t know that until it happened to me and I googled it, now I know when I play again what I will have to do. I think I was pretty far, so losing all my progess has killed my motivation to finish. I am shelfing this game for now.

Rayman Origins (PS3)

Still working my way through this game. I love it, pretty fun, especially just sitting down and “mastering” a level or two in a sitting. I think I am getting pretty close to finishing it. Anyone who read my previous blogs knows I bought this game to “test” the series to see if I want to buy Rayman Legends on PS4. I definitely am.

Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (PS4)

This was free for Playstation Plus members. It is by the same people who had made Super Stardust HD and Resogun. I can definitely tell, it has a lot of similar mechanics. I like playing it, not bad for a freebie. Been playing through when I need a change of pace.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD (PS3)

Peace Walker is the only Metal Gear game I have not played, I am FINALLY changing that. I have been meaning to play this game forever it seems. I want to fully catch up on the series, especially after one of my recent purchases (see below). This game is a lot different than MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3. I don’t mind change though, I know it was meant for a handheld. A lot of the characters in this game will be returning in MGS5 I guess, so as a MGS fan, I must play this. Playing what I have so far, I am already missing David Hayter as the voice of Snake…

RECENT PURCHASES

I didn't realize that I bought this much until I sat down to write this blog, lol.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (PS4) – Well, I bought it, lol. I am too much of a MGS fan not to. I messed around in this game and I love the gameplay. Kind of a mix of MGS4 and Peace Walker. I don’t get how Snake has the technology he has in this game for the 70’s but oh well, it’s a video game, lol. Haven’t beat yet, I have just been running around testing the mechanics. As far as what I have experienced with it so far, I would definitely say it is worth the price of admission to any Metal Gear fan. Keifer Sutherland as Snake will take some getting used to though. I loved how David Hayter portrayed him more, but I am sure it will grow on me.

Batman: Arkham Origins (PS3) – the things I have heard about this game, I didn’t think I was going to buy it, but I saw on sale for $15, I figured why not.  I do love the Arkham games and it is more of the same with a different story.

Dragon’s Crown (PS3) – I knew I was buying this game when I first saw it and heard the details. Right up my alley, I love old school beat um’ ups. I popped it in to try it, game is awesome. I love how the controls feel and character design.

Saint’s Row IV (PS3) – I bought on sale, knew I wanted it, so that was that.

Prince of Persia HD Collection (PS3) -- Played the first game back when it first realesed. This collection seems like it is kind of expensive everywhere I see it. Picked it up somewhat cheap. I like having hard copies of games, otherwise I am sure it is available cheap as a download somewhere.

Sly Collection (PS3) -- Since it was announced, I wanted it. Waited for it to go down to a reasonable price (under $20).

Rage (PS3) -- I bought this to fill out the order of the above two games, it was dirt cheap. I rented it when it first released. I'll give the full thing a try.

Well, the Playstation 3 games above are among the last games I will purchase for Playstation 3. The final one I will get will probably be Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Collection. I have a lot of PS3 games, so I don’t feel bad at all in saying that, lol. From here on out, it will mainly be next gen purchases.

Feel free anyone to add me on PSN or Steam. My user ID is the same for both: F1r3inth3H0l3. Have a great weekend.

I'll add you on Steam if I remember to log in, which I am bad about and that badness about that has cost me a Need for Speed sale already. Arrrrgh!

Hopefully the Steam edition of Tomb Raider (non-definitive edition) doesn't have a similar glitch.

Everyone seems to be praising Rayman games like the second-coming of platforming glory, so I'll definitely need to get on that at some point.

Never heard of Dead Apocalypse Nation  and the screenshot doesn't look too interesting, but free is always good.

I've only ever finished MGS 1 and 2. I really need to play 3. I'm not sold on Peace Walker, cause doesn't it have some odd JRPG system? I can't remember. Set me straight if not.

I'm glad everyone is enjoying Ground Zeroes

I need to play the next in the Arkham series, as I've only played Asylum. Dragon's Crown looks cool and I also want to play a Saint's Row  game at some point.

I remember Rage sounding fun and I'd kill to have those Sly and PoP collections.

I noticed right after I bought that PoP Collection that all the PoP games went on sale on Steam for dirt cheap, lol. Oh well, I would rather have physical copies anyways and also play it on a console.

I don't believe that Tomb Raider on PC has that glitch, maybe google it before you start the game to make sure. It really sucks to lose all your progress Frown

Rayman is pretty fun, I haven't really been into a platforming game in a long time, Origins has changed that. It's just a fun experience and the visuals are pretty as well.

Dead Nation is ok, I wouldn't call it a great game, but it is fun every once in a while. It gets tough in some spots, you can definitely tell it was meant to play with multiple people on co-op.

The original Metal Gear Solid is my favorite game of all time. I love the story in that game, it comes to a great end. MGS3 is definitely worth playing, I liked MGS1 and MGS2 more, but the sniper battle with The End alone makes that game worth it. I am enjoying Peace Walker, it is broke down into missions, so you can sit and play a couple or few at a time. The animated/hand drawn cutscenes take some getting used to. Atleast David Hayter voices Snake though.

I knew I was going to like Ground Zeroes from the footage I saw of it. Plus the fact I am a huge MGS fan doesn't hurt either.

I love the Arkham games, I have to finish Arkham City still, lol. Dragon's Crown is really fun from the short time I tried it out, I definitely recommend it if you like old school brawlers.

I honeslty didnt like Dead Nation, I played it once and deleted it after. The controls for me were ridiclous and made the game horriable to play. Im glad your enjoying it though! Im ready for the next free game to be announced  and released on the PS4.

I really enjoyed  MGSGZ, Im still playing it since it has the extra missions to do. Im ready for Phantom Pain to be released!

Yea, Dead Nation isn't exaclt great, probably why it was free. Just so that PS+ had something to give away. I play about a level every few days, more for trophy purposes.

Too bad Phantom Pain is so far away, I love the gameplay of Ground Zeroes. But it does give me the chance to catch up on Peace Walker atleast.

Dragon's Crown is great.  The Amazon is who I usually play as.

I was trying out a few of the characters, so far I really like the archer. She has a good mix of attacks.

I still have to play Rage. I got in on Xbox not too long ago but just haven't gotten to it yet. I want to see John Carmack's work on the id Tech 5 engine in this game.

I remember when I first played Rage, it was during that long PSN outage. I didn't play it long though. I would like to complete it.

Not yet. I want to get the Wii U version, but I don't have the console yet. I may buy the Steam version if I get impatient.

I remember playing a bunch of Dead Nation and then I just stopped. I must have been stuck on a level, and forgot to go back.

Loved Saints Row IV, I bought a couple of DLC packs and I think I finished one but haven't started the other. I might get a copy for the PS3 and play it again. I'm thinking about getting Batman because I have the Vita version, but I will probably wait a bit for a price drop. Some good pickups you got!

I think we are friends already on PSN but if not I'll add you, I'm GoAztecs on there.

I am kinda get burned out on Dead Nation, it just isn't as good as it could've been. I want to just try to complete the game.

Can't go wrong with Saint's Row, it seems so ridiculous in a good way. Way over the top. That's what I like about it.
