Good news today - Mega Man 3 has been released on the Nintendo e-Shop. After checking every day since I found the trailer video, it has finally came out. So far I have played through Snake Man's stage, and the game is just as good as I remember. The graphics are just as colorful and more sharp than MM 2. Also, sliding~! This game doesn't have the Mega Buster charge, but that's okay. It was more of a cumbrance in later games because you needed to charge in order to do any damage to anything. I also feel that the stages were more smartly designed than the other games. It's definitely more challenging than MM 2. Btw, this is a straight port of the NES game if you were wondering. Get it!

I have also been playing Chrono Trigger DS. The last time I played this game was a few years ago for PSX. Well, I did try to play the iOS version a few months ago, but the controls are just so sloppy. I just quit while in the factory because trying to control during combat on a touch screen was just making me miserable. Anyway, the DS version is definitely my favorite so far, because it has the cut scenes from FF Chronicles and this port is an upgrade from that. They changed a few things, like enemy triggers and menu screens, in addition to having a new translation. Otherwise, not bad! I'm trying out a low level game, and got to Denadoro Mtns so far. I'm going to see how far I can get with the bare minimum amount of level ups. Also, I saw online that Crimson Echoes might have released a final version. I will have to check into it. Yet another reason to be glad. Laughing

I love Mega Man 3's intro music, but it definitely is a lot harder than Mega Man 2; I can usually get past Snake Man's stage ok, though.

Yeah, the Staff Rolls are my favorite pieces in the original series. Great tunes!

Yeah, it started off as BaD (Blog a Day) on 1up. But really, I can't write about video games every day lol. So I'm just doing an activity log on this website.

MM3 and Chrono Trigger?! WOO HOO! Those games are both awesome! I think charging the buster is overrated. It was more of a distraction for me than anything else. MM3 is definitely tougher than MM2. I had played MM2 recently and was shocked by how easy it was.

Yeah, they look and play great on the 3DS XL. MM2 was definitely one of the easiest MM games. heh

I'm not hardcore enough for MM.

But I've played that Chrono trigger version and it's really good.  I want to get back into it and finish it but I haven't yet.

Haha, I've played these games so many times that I have to invent challenges for myself. But it's good to get back to them every few years.

Hooray for Mega Man 3 on the e-Shop!  It's actually my favorite of the original MM series-- even above MM 2.  And I love the music in Snake Man's stage  the best.  And, in my opinion, the Mega Buster wasn't perfected until Mega Man X anyway.

Heh, mine too. MM2 & 4 are tied for me. I hope they get around to releasing all of the 8 Bit ones on the e-Shop. Even though I already have the Anniversary Collection, portable MM is definitely the way to go.

I think MM3 is my favorite one.  Others I like are MM2, MM8, and the first MMX game.

Chrono Trigger is one of my favorite RPGs, too.

My favorite is definitely the X series. I will have to make a post on it soon. But yeah, Chrono Trigger really is a special game. They broke the mold with that one. It deserves to be on everyone's top game list.

Nice! lol Thank you. I was kinda looking for OG MGS tuxedo snake, pixellation and all. Maybe with him leaning against the edge of the wall, overlooking something cool and holding the Socom. Heh.

Oh yeah,  the only one I found like that, Snake has his back to the camera..

I've never played any Mega Man games, but I do have the Anniversary Collection for the PS2 that I'll have to try out some time.

I love the DS version of Chrono Trigger. I never played the original version, just the PS1 version, before I played the DS one. They did an awesome job with it.

Definitely. The DS version is almost perfect so far. I haven't played this port all the way through, but I really like it. I don't agree with all the changes, but I am looking forward to playing this one all the way through.

Ah Mega Man 3. My favourite. I was going to get it last night and try it out on my 3DS, but I decided to just grab the HarmoKnight demo and then hit the hay.

I really like Chrono Trigger DS. I'm at the point where I just have to choose which time to fight Lavos and I just have pulled... the trigger.

Lol! David Caruso is such a badass. He is what makes that show. Crono is what makes CT, so I think that's a good comparison.

Always wanted to try Chrono Trigger. Glad you said that about the iOS version. Controlling games with your fingertips gets kinda iffy! The DS version sounds like the one I should go with.

Yeah, I was severely disappointed with the iOS version. It's a good thing I got it when it was on sale. Maybe it plays better on the iPhone, I dunno. Still, it doesn't have cutscenes or the monster arena, so the DS version is definitely the one you want if you can't play the original.

Every now and then they get it right on iOS. GTA Vice City controls rather well once you get used to it. Graphics are much sharper than on PS2 version.
