Games I've Beaten so Far in 2016, Part 1

I know you also seem to be like me on not beating or advancing that much in games, but damn Snee, I got to even beat more games last year!

They are very much tragic, but like I said, a big problem is that they lack more development of their characters and see much more how they got there.

If you enjoyed 3D Land, then you'll definitely be into 3D World, as it's a big expansion of the handheld predecesor. Splatoon really is that excellent and nowadays it has a considerable number of content than on release. I also got my Metal Slug copy from a Bundle from Humble, more especifically the one of the 25ht anniversary of the Neo Geo, which aside from a DRM-free version, it had keys for some of the games already on Steam, which had Metal Slug.

I felt that Dust is an excellent acomplishment in the Indie scene due to the insane amount of work made by just one person, where just the only things not done by its dev (Dead Dodrill) where the voice acting, soundtrack and part of the scripts. Reading the Wikipedia page, Dean has many ideas for a sequel and he would like to revisit the story.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild announced and recap

I saw the trailers and wow, it has a lot of promise. My big hope is that open-world doesn't become tedious or a slug to go through and they implement those survival elements well. This also makes me wonder how how it will fit the timeline, as either it makes it seem to take place somewhere before Ocarina of Time or even on a bit after the end, with all the ruins and the rusted Master Sword. Overall, very much looking forward to the game and hoping for more info, albeit I won't try t let the hype get me and keep calmed expectations.

Article From The Ringer: Stop Ruining Console Games With PC Headaches

Posted on 06/16/2016 at 04:51 PM | Filed Under Blogs

The author could have some fair points if this was made a few years back, but I feel he doesn't see the full picture. I know it seems daunting, but nowadays that tech has advanced greatly and certain advanced hardwares start getting cheaper, it's easy to build and/or get a computer apt for gaming, and it's already posible to get a proper game running by changing it's setups. He also forgets that nowadays it's more easy to update and perhaps faster for games to update on PC than consoles, which come to my point that the big problem is the fact that consoles outside of Nintendo are trying to be computers, without understanding their posible capacities and limitations, and with the obsession in pretty detailed graphics at the cost of better fluid 60 fps gameplay, it leaves them steps-behind computers. Ever since I started to play more games at 60, I do agree it's better for games, which makes getting a PS4 or Xbone seem like a waste considering that I feel like i'm playing an inferior version limited by its setting on console rather than the variety you get on computers, which honestly it's why despite its flaws, I love my Wii U due to Nintendo and its developers understanding that we're playing a console and understanding the importance of gameplay. Seriously, Smash Bros. at 30 would feel incredibly awkward.

I haven't thankfully and will never become a "PC mustard race" guy, but nowadays i'm more inclined to have PC as my main gaming system since I really want the better gaming experience that you can't simply get most of the time on most consoles, and will probably stick to Nintendo for consoles if it means they'll be the only ones that care about a good gaming experiences. I do think that with the NX on the rise and the announcement of the upgraded PS4 and Xbone consoles, companies will finally get the idea of what console gaming means and even though I said it's bad that consoles should copy computers, I do think they can learn from them about improved option settings and the option for people on how they want to experience games. The Last of Us Remaster I feel is a small but significant acomplishment due to giving the option of players for the original high detailed graphic setting or the option of one slightly downgraded in graphics but in full 60 fps.

Man, I can't believe how long this went.

It's a good work the one you're doing Peter and thankfully this site hasn't succumbed to the spam rain 1up had in 2012. Remember that one?

It's a good thing Bethesda confirmed that those that already owned Skyrim on PC (like me) can get the remaster for free.

Quick Hits: Southern California Was A Rockin' But Come A Knockin' Anyways

Here's the thing, I never felt the airport fight to be "too open" or anything like that, since the environment was used greatly for its battle potential, where every single heroe had a chance to do things and since it wasn't something large scale, I felt they actually focused on the fights greatly than like the bombast of Age of Ultron for instance. The fights in Apocalypse are good, no doubts about it, but they don't feel like something different from the heroe movie norm you see nowadays, aka it's epic stuff, but I don't feel it stand-out from epic fights like that of the first The Avengers. Now, it's fair to consider this as just a setup for the future, but the same argument can be done with most of the MCU, wheter it seems that way at the end or in the credit scenes, and don't forget that Apocalypse setup a sequel with the post-credit scene.

I think why I felt Civil War was better than Apocalypse was the fact that it felt like it was bold, not only changing everything and affecting every heroe, but it felt personal and more heartbreaking since it's a moral dilema between freedom or owning for different actions, where both sides have valid claims and no one is strawmaned into being the wrong person. That and then Bucky joins the mix and Steve now has to deal with trying to get his friend trily back and proving that he's inocent. I also love that it expanded on the effects of collateral damaga of previous movies and also the main antagonist was refreshingly down-to-earth with a fair if extreme in how they're done motivation for his actions. Black Panther and Spider-Man where awesome too.

To each of their own then.
