My Apologies for Not Getting to the Spammers Faster

I have yet to be able to catch them exactly when they strike but I have been able to eradicate their garbage within about 20 minutes of them posting.

The fact is that these posts aren't just spam. They're actually a scam that can cost the unsuspecting clicker all kinds of money when he or she hands over bank account/credit card information in hopes of making a few extra bucks. They prey on the desperate hoping to make enough money to by that brand new Mazda that the moron claims his Auntie Elise bought with all the money she made.

Now I know that no one who posts here would fall for such a ruse but it's annoying to have to clean up this crap several times a week. It's also annoying for the bloggers who see replies to their posts only to find out it's a scam post or two or three.

So rest assured that we try to get to these things as quickly as possible but we don't see the posts or the reports until we get on here.

I usually tend to delete a few early in the morning before I leave for work if there's any. I check again when I get back home sometimes too.

Well I think that everyone who clears out spam here does a great job. I hardly ever see it, and when I do it sure doesn't last long!

Is this why I have been getting notifications of comments yet when I like to see what they wrote its gone? If so thank you very much. Ive noticed some weird usernames comment but the comment doesnt exist.

Yep, that's why. Sometimes they post 2 or 3 times on the same blog.

It is always a cat and mouse game. But in the end you are doing a great job. It's not like you can monitor the site 24-7. Thank you for doing what you can.

It's a good work the one you're doing Peter and thankfully this site hasn't succumbed to the spam rain 1up had in 2012. Remember that one?

I gotta say, these guys are really annoying. I hate when the comments on my reviews are mostly spam. I can always tell when I check my message notifications who's a spammer based on the name alone.

At any rate, good job man. Keep it up!

I'll always remove 'em when I get a chance to log on and check things out on my computer, but I'll pass on it when I'm on my cell phone, since it's typically going to load everything slowly. However, I must say, you all seem to get to most of them first!
