Blake's Angry Rant About Youtube

Posted on 05/26/2013 at 04:55 PM | Filed Under Blogs

If you wish to use the word "fuck"..

Why the fuck can't I edit my responses and why the fuck doesn't Comment Snob work with Google Chrome.?

I really don't like reading the comments to popular videos as they are full of content that I'd not much like to read. I think Google Chrome is disallowing its use simply because Google owns YouTube. At least on DailyMotion I can edit a comment and I have 1000 characters.

As long as YouTube is wildly popular with the kids, no point to fix it. I just wish there was competition for it from the U.S. I prefer DailyMotion but it's too European-minded despite the fact that tons of copyrighted material are safe there.

Video gamers depress me sometimes.

These people take their hobby seriously. Between video gaming and the Internet, I wonder if they ever get out or are into other things. There might be a lot of people like that kid featured in the first issue of Nintendo Power's "Video Spotlight" section. Good 'ol "Ace Ebb". He beat Metroid in 3 days, Mike Tyson's Punchout in 5, Zelda in 5 and strangely enough SMB in 5. All boys in that article, to nobody's surprise.

Video gamers depress me sometimes.

I think I'll have too much of a backlog from the previous generation to start playing PS4 right away. I might have to buy one Day One just so I don't get angry seeing hoarders selling one for double the price. The One can wait, if it's worth it for my gaming tastes.

Xbox One vrs PS4 whats really the difference

I hope to get a PS4 before the hoarders do. I have this eerie feeling they will both launch on the exact same day in November.

Microsoft is either trying to distance themselves from what they think is a coming video game crash, are arrogant enough to think that people don't know a $300 laptop can serve the exact same purpose as the One or (my thinking) that they treat their customers like crap and think they are still going to be lemmings and accept whatever paradigm they force on them. Judging from the Gamespot twitter battle, people have had enough of MS and their garbage.

Microsoft only cares about the money, not about quality, ease of use or good customer help. It's never going to change with them.

Happy Memorial Day.

Fatigue

Actually, you can add Black Hole to my list. I've played about 40 games of it since it was free to PS+ subscribers. I'm trying to beat the score of 846,510 that Mark Bussler has on his real Black Hole pinball machine in the Intergalactic Arcade featured on his YouTube/DailyMotion videos.

Fatigue

We all suffer from fatigue. The only game I want to play nowadays is MLB '13: The Show. I seem to have no desire to play anything else regularly. Bioshock: Infinite remains the only game I've beaten so far in 2013. Yes, I haven't even beaten Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time yet.

It's almost summer and I'd rather do something else until the NFL season starts. Alongside festivals, barbeques, my brother's wedding and other assorted trips, though, is the continuation of building up my backlog of games. There are some AAA titles coming this summer.

Twenty20 Cricket is a fast-paced and more exciting version of the game. Raucous fans, cheerleaders, Bollywood stars and intrigue. I started to watch it back in 2011. There's still 3 playoff games left. I don't where Americans can watch it, though. Roger Sportsnet World airs the games here in Canada. It's very similar to baseball, which was derived from it.

I was too busy watching IPL Cricket while working. Seeing what the people at GameDebate and the NGR Thug Mansion were saying, they echo your sentiments.

A quick question to my fellow gamers

Something like that sounds too controversial and politically incorrect at this time for a video game. If they wanted to do it, it would have to be stylized, I guess. The closest I've seen was in Dante's Inferno. Until we see an actual game where the main character does such a thing, it's difficult to tell if I would want to play a game with a main character who commited said crime. I have to know what this video game is and what the plot is.

Sounds perfect for Infinity Ward, who have a history with controversial cutscenes.
