Activision Reportedly Pays Former Infinity Ward Employees $42 Million

The trial will still commence on May 29.

Just when you thought it was safe to forget about West and Zampella, the former Infinity Ward employees who sued Activision over unpaid wages, new reports have surfaced from multiple sources indicating the Call of Duty veterans have received 42 million dollars from their former employer.

Blizzard Takes Issue With Valve's Use of DOTA

Warcraft developer issues a notice of opposition to Valve's mod based game.

The acronym DOTA may not mean a whole lot to some people, but it apparently means a lot to Blizzard.  Short for Defense of the Ancients, DOTA began its life as a popular mod for Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and the expansion The Frozen Throne.  Valve, a company that is decidedly not Blizzard, took notice of the mod’s popularity and began development of a sequel, aptly titled DOTA 2.

New Xbox Update Removes Netflix Party, Prohibits Class Action Lawsuits

Microsoft's problems with the new dashboard continue.

As the new dashboard for the Xbox 360 is introduced to millions of gamers, some changes are upsetting users. IGN is reporting that the Party feature in the Netflix app is no longer there. This feature used to allow Xbox Live subscribers to hang out with their friends' Avatars while watching a movie or show on Netflix. Microsoft offered this statement about the feature's removal:

EA Sued Over Battlefield 1943 Not Being Included in Battlefield 3

The downloadable title wasn't included as promised.

Electronic Arts is being sued after not providing copies of the downloadable title Battlefield 1943 with PlayStation 3 retail copies of the new Battlefield 3, as originally promised. EA first said that the PS3 version of the latest in the Battlefield series would come with a free copy of the 2009 release Battlefield 1943, but later stated this would not be the case.
