Street Fighter X Tekken blends tons of elements into one AWESOME fighting game

Now is the absolute best time to be a fighting game fan. Games like Super Street Fighter 4 (now Arcade Edition), Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Tekken 6 and Mortal Kombat have been keeping the fighting scene strong and the list of titles keeps growing. The game on most people's radars now is Street Fighter X (X = Cross) Tekken. This game is the Capcom take on the Street Fighter and Tekken collaboration, and there will be another version known as Tekken X Street Fighter. However Street Fighter X Tekken has been in the spotlight and seems to be closer to being released. I was able to play a good amount of matches and feel out certain characters and I can assure people that are familiar with games like Super Street Fighter 4 that this is NOT the same game.

Jason recaps and provides his thoughts on last night's second roundtable with Nintendo and Ubisoft.

Last night, Nintendo held their second roundtable developer's meeting and Jason has the opportunity to sit in and catch the news as it broke. Nintendo hosted Ubisoft at the meeting and Ubisoft gave an in depth look at what they currently have in development for Wii U and a good number of details about the Wii U capabilities and how they will be leveraged to provide a compelling gameplay and online experience. The feature will be used extensively by Ghost Recon Online.

During Nintendo's second press conference, Ubisoft was in attendance and they confirmed some new details regarding their coming Wii U game, Ghost Recon Online. According to Yves Guillemot, Ghost Recon Online will feature extensive voice chat, meaning Wii U itself will support the feature. Seemingly the microphone on the Wii U controller will be used for this feature, but because all Wii accessories will work with Wii U, Wii Speak may also be compatible.
