Team Fortress 2 Now Free-to-Play

Since the release of the game, Valve has occasionally made it free for short spurts of time, but now it's free for good.

In a recent interview with Develop-Online, Robin Walker of Valve revealed that Team Fortress 2 will now be a free-to-play title. According to Walker, for almost a year, the team has been toying with the idea. Data from periods where the game was made free for a limited time convinced Valve that " TF2 would be more successful as a completely free product.”

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Review

Updated graphics and refined gameplay breathe new life into the classic masterpiece.

In my twenty-three years of gaming, no other title has had more of an impact on me than The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. My first playthrough was a magical twenty-hour experience that I’ll never forget, and one that will forever hold a special place in my heart. But the real beauty of Ocarina of Time, is that my story isn’t unique. It defined a generation for gamers all around the world, which is why many regard it to this day as the best video game experience ever created. Now, the epic tale of a boy and his fairy returns to the gaming world, bringing with it beautifully updated graphics, vast animation improvements, a hint system, and the same whimsical charm that hooked players over a decade ago.

Cubic Ninja Review

Despite having great personality and charm, the controls and poor level designs make this game nearly unplayable.

I have a predilection for quirky Japanese puzzle games, so you can only imagine how high my hopes were for Cubic Ninja. Its bold move of only allowing motion control further piqued my interest. Surely, solving puzzles with cube shaped protagonist, CC, was going to be a blast. Unfortunately, after just a few short minutes with the game, my interest was quickly dissipated due to the broken controls and poor puzzle design.

Driver: San Francisco Hands On Preview

An impressive re-creation of San Francisco and a city full of cars to crash. What's not to like?

The creators of Driver San Francisco have digitized the city using a combination of Google Maps and their own photographs. While they did have to redesign some of the less-interesting roads, Marin County, Chinatown, the Castro district and everything in between are all there. I would've liked to have checked out the bridge but everything seemed so big and a few areas were locked that I just decided to play a few missions and mess around in free drive mode.

Prince of Persia Trilogy Review

The graphics haven’t particularly aged well, but boy are the games still great.

It’s mind-blowing to think it has been eight years since the original release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time; at the time, the game was ground-breaking in its unique approach to platforming, combat and its signature time-reversing mechanic. While it feels like the game was released just yesterday, it’s getting old and it’s absolutely showing its age – even with the slight graphical improvement featured in this remastered compilation.

The Legend of Soundtrack

Don't worry, your coins are safe with Wario - as it turns out, so are limited edition soundtracks.

If you're like me, yesterday produced some frustration and definite cause for concern. Assuming you followed along with our E3 coverage, you're well aware that Nintendo is giving away a special limited edition soundtrack with their recently released title, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. The bad news about this sweet giveaway? It's extremely limited and only a few Club Nintendo members who register their game will actually be able to get it. After registering yesterday, completing the required survey, and requesting the bonus, Chessa and I were stopped dead in our tracks by a system error.
