Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs Review

Some good ideas get the abbreviated movie treatment in Ubisoft's Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.

Despite wanting to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for the past few months, I still haven't seen the movie. So I got the DS game and was excited to add to my knowledge of the movie: there's a guy with brown hair who makes gadgets and gizmos, there's a blonde news reporter, and there are giant meatballs. I began to play the game as the guy with the gizmos and brown hair, who is named Flint. He's joined on his journey by the support and direction of other townspeople, who interact with him from the top screen as he runs through the streets on the touch screen.

TouchMaster 3 is the (obvious) third installment of the (obvious) TouchMaster handheld series. Having recently played this game at a Warner Bros. event, I'm now in tune to what TouchMaster 3 plans to bring to the handheld table. There are 20 different games spanning 5 categories: puzzle, action, card, strategy, and word challenges. Games include titles like Bumperball, Slime Assault, and Wild Words. All games have a brief tutorial beforehand to let you know what you're in for and how to do it.

Square Enix CEO Thinks New Motion Controllers Are 'Limited,' Expects New Wii in 2011

Yoichi Wada, CEO of Square Enix, is impressed by Project Natal, but doesn't think it'll have much of an impact.

In a recent interview with the UK-based Financial Times, Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada said he doesn't believe that Microsoft and Sony's new motion controllers will have much of an impact. He also expects a new Wii by 2011 that will have more in common with Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and might even have a new controller.
