Gaming:

In recent blogs I mentioned I was playing a lot of Dark Souls, Minecraft, Civ Rev, and Resident Evil. Well, for the past couple weeks I've been spending the majority of my gaming time in Dark Souls. On Twitter I've been regularly talking about the shenanigans I've been up to in the game, and Pixlbit staff writer Angelo Grant and I nerd out about the game fairly often on there but it's mostly just the two of us. Over at Pixlbit a friend and Dark Souls veteran named Jinkoku told me he would really enjoy it if I began a Dark Souls blog series so that he could keep up with the tomfoolery of my first playthrough. I really love this game so far, and I would enjoy blogging about it, but I will leave this decision up to democracy.

You ladies and gentleman are the ones who suffer through my blogs in the first place, so would you like to read a Dark Souls blog series about my virgin playthrough?

1Upper Chris Yarger does a Dark Souls Death Log and it's one of my favorite things to keep up with on the interweb. His wife's illustrations are priceless. I won't rip him off and do the same thing. My blogs will be about what I've been doing in my playtrough, how certain areas have been going for me, any criticisms I have, and certainly some gushing praise for how much fun I'm having among other things. I will probably have questions from time to time as well, since I'm new to the game.

So, what say you?

Personal:

This weekend I'm going to be going camping with my cousin Chrissy around a remote-ish lake. I'm excited because I love getting out of the city, away from the noise, and spending time around the flora and fauna of the planet I inhabit. Chrissy is a really great amateur photographer and we will probably get some great nature pictures during the weekend. Chrissy's husband Eric loves going fishing with me, so we will camp out around this lake and try and catch some fish as well. Seafood is actually my favorite type of food, and I love fish, but I never actually kill any for energy while I'm out. We will have plenty of food. I'll be doing the old catch-hug-release as usual. I hug the fish I catch, you know why? Imagine being hooked in the mouth and yanked out of your natural habitat into a world where you can't breath. It would suck, so a hug is an attempt to sweeten the deal before I toss the fish back. Lol

I also need to get a haircut because it's long and wavy now. It's way too hot here in Colorado to have long hair out in the sun all day. I have a really weird tradition but I think it's the funniest fucking thing in the world. My hair is naturally quite thick and wavy. So every time my hair grows long, before I go get it cut short, I run my fingers through it, make it stand straight up, and I spend the day doing impressions of the Ancient Aliens guy while I can. LOL

PhotobucketHAHA! Tell me more about the "Tick-nology". My whole impression of him is built around the way he pronounces the word "technology". I adore this guy, he adds comedy gold to my life

Random:

If you want to stalk me on Twitter or even talk to me, you can find me @Teras117

My friend Julian hosts a great podcast called Nerds Without Pants along with two other great guys, Pixlbit.com's Patrick Kijek, and CHUD.com's Robert Ottone. NWP's most recent episode is a comic book inspired origin story theme in which the guys explain their earliest gaming memories, explain why they still love and invest in this great hobby, and they also recommend some comic books, as well as mention masturbation chafing! I listen regularly, and so should youuuuuuu!

What? That wasn't random enough? Fine, here is this

Seeing a Spartan give Kevin Sorbo the business is certainly random enough. You're welcome.

Questions:

Would you be interested in a blog series about my Dark Souls playthrough?

Would you hug a fish?

Can you make your hair stand up, and do an impression of the Ancient Aliens guy?

I think hugging fish removes their protective slime coating and exposes them to disease;  unless you are shirtless and covered in lake water - which you probably are.  Hug on, my friend.  Hug on.
