The past few days I've seen Metro Redux for the PS4 for 20 bucks Used on the Gamefly Store. Being as I had a 5 dollar credit, I figured that I'd use it for Metro.
I remember reading some stuff Whatsacow wrote about Metro Redux, that he really enjoyed the atmosphere and he praised the game overall. I never got in on the first game, Metro 2033, and I've only really scratched the surface of Last Light. I read the other day that you can even make 2033 more action-shooter by turning on Spartan mode, which would make it feel more akin to the pacing and gunplay of Last Light. This intrigues me, and I'm going to fully delve into it.
While Evolve is cool and I'm going to enjoy it for sure, I'm still definitely more of the story-driven fps fan. I'm thinking after I recieve Metro Redux in the mail I'm going to hold off and save a bit for the pending release of Bloodborne.
Which reminds me, I need to request that day and the following day off from work. I should probably put that in today.
I have Metro 2033 on 360 and PC. Since Last Light was on PSN+ I have that too. Steam Had the Redux bundle on sale so now I have both games albeit in improved form on Steam. :)
I don't have anything to play Evolve on but it doesn't sound like my kind of game anyway.
the atmosphere of these games is GREAT! The gameplay is a little sloppy, but that's ok
The Metro games are some of the best games that I played last gen. I was so happy to see them update 2033. It was good, but I am glad that they seemed to have ironed out the issue from the initial release.
I need to fire up my copy of Metro 2033 on Steam. After I get through some of the smaller games.
I think I might have downloaded Metro as part of PS+ but I'm not sure. It sounds like an interesting game to tackle.
