Happy Cyber Monday Pixlpeeps! If you folks are currently buying stuff today, good luck and hope you find the stuff that you want. So how was your Thanksgiving (for you out of the USA folks, how was your Thursday and Friday)? It was a lot of fun here in my little piece of Southern California. Got to spend it with family, eat a bunch of food, took some pictures, and maybe braved the crowds at Target.

Here I am on Wednesday. I originally went out to pick up some Cherry Limeaid Kool-Aid from Walmart. By the end of this trip I would have gone to three different stores, including one crazy super market for some random Thyme, Rosemary, and Sage all in a planter. My little trip started at Walmart for my Kool-Aid, and then a quick trip to Target that turned into a half hour of roaming around, and to finish it off at a supermarket called Stater Bros. for the crazy planter. The last stop is always crazy the day before Turkey Day because a lot of folks put in orders for Turkey, Prime Rib, and other goodies, along with being the neighborhood market. It was my old neighborhood market so I still go here every once in a while.

Turkey Day was fun. I didn’t watch much football because I was too busy playing some games.

This is the Table Setting. I never sit here. I’m usually in the living room with the family watching random movies or whatever is showing on TV.

The bird. I don’t like Turkey on Thanksgiving (go figure) but we had this version and the Honey Baked Turkey Breast.

The Prime Rib. This is what I am down with. Last year I bought a pig for the family but since it was a smaller crowd this year, I am going to buy a pig for Christmas.

Pancit. Easily one of my favorite Filipino foods. Not pictured is the Pumpkin Pies that I usually cut a slice and then make it look like a hill covered in Reddi Whip.

Around 7pm my cousin and I went to Target. It was an hour after it opened so hopefully all the crazy folks who went nuts over cheap TVs and Beats headphones are gone.

The sky was really pretty and this picture doesn’t do it justice.

At Target the electronics section was packed. Here is what I don’t get: you’re a shopper but isn’t buying in this department. Why park yourself and your cart in front of the PS4 games, staring at your phone, and be annoyed when people say “Excuse Me.” You know where there are no people? In the grocery section. Go stand there. Anyways my cousin and I were done in about 30 minutes and went home for more pie covered in Reddi Whip.

Pickups!

Here are the games I bought

Mad Max I bought on Wednesday because my cousin said to pick it up now since it was $25 and they only had four in stock. It was an impulse buy. I finally got my copy of Need for Speed and I have been playing that game all weekend. I’ll go more into the game next week but currently I am 67% finished with the game and since it’s an arcade racer

My first car I used in the first portion of the game and then I used this car

Yep I tried my hand at making another 2 Fast 2 Furious Skyline that Brian drove in the beginning of the film

I haven’t reached a high enough rank to unlock the front body kits yet

Music

From the $7 rack of CDs

Yeah because of Wrestlemania Demi Lovato’s Cool for the Summer was stuck in my head. In previous Lovato albums I found a couple of tracks I liked so hopefully I’ll find some other songs here too. Lana Del Rey because I bought her previous albums, and liked a couple of tracks.

Yeah like everyone else I picked up the new Adele. I joked with my cousin that I was going to listen to this while playing Mad Max.

Not pictured was the big package of paper towels because we ran out of them in the house. That continues my streak of odd buys during Dark Gray Thursday/Black Friday. One year I also bought eggs.

These are the best!

Before I go I saw this on Reddit before Turkey Day, and it made me laugh

Have a good week Pixlbit!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

I wish I was a bit taller, but I think its just the angle that I took that picture.

The Salted Caramel Pringles are good. Its a sweet taste followed by the crunch of the chip.

Pancit is made with I believe Chinese noodles, chicken, cabbage, carrots, garlic, the usual salt, pepper, oil and throw that into a bowl and mix. There is probably more to it but I rarely watch my aunt make the stuff.

Hey I know you like LEGOs, so I wanted to let you know I just posted a big ol' blog about LEGO Dimensions if you'd like to read it.  Have a great day!

Are those screen shots from the game? Those cars look real.

Yup the two car shots are from the in garage view. The whole game has this almost realistic quality to it. It looks really good.

I prefer ham to turkey, but those look like some fine dishes I haven't tried you've go there.

Cool night photo.

Need for Speed cars look great, how is the game?

"cool for the summer" is one I like too and I also enjoy Lana Del Ray and Adele. However, I'm only sold on a couple songs on 25 after listening to the tracks on Google Play.

Salted caramel sounds interesting. And I started gaining weight in October cause of my job and fast food. haha

Happy holidays!

Its funny but as much as I like ham and turkey, I don't like them during Thanksgiving. Its odd.

Thank you sir!

NFS is really good. The presentation is fun where the little movie scenes are first person, the graphics are really good. It looks almost real, and the gameplay is fun. There is the usual of tinkering with the car to get it to fit the race you are going to take part in. It also has that you're playing a single player game but you share the game play world with other players so people can challange you to drift at any point.

Funny thing about Adele is I haven't heard any songs from this album. I bought it based on her previous work.

They're good, and don't worry, everyone gains weight during the winter, because its cold.

And Happy Holidays to you as well!

I wonder how many people bought the new one based on 21. I listened to that and 19 on Spotify the other day and thought 19 had some great tracks but was overall decent, while 21 blew it out of the water. Apparently, Rick Rubin wasn't sold on 25 (what genre doesn't that man produce?) despite being a big part of 21's success, according to Adele on Jimmy Fallon.

Glad to hear NFS is good. Think that might be the racing game I get for PS4.

Rick Rubin is everywhere. When I watch WWE Pay Per Views on their network he's always sitting behind or near the announcers.

There has to be quite a few folks who bought it based on 21. There was period where you couldn't get away from an Adele song, someone singing an Adele song, or talking about her. I didn't see the interview but I heard that there were a lot of changes made to the album.

Its a fun arcade racer, and give the demo or rental a try.

Didn't know he was a WWE fan. The Beard would make a great wrestling character.

And yeah, I remember 2011-2012, the years of Adele. Crossed a lot of generational gaps too, little girls were singing it at a Christmas party I went to in '12.

I didn't realize there was a demo, will have to free some space for that.
