That's a beautiful piece of music.

For my minifigure picture of the day I decided to showcase the minifigures that are not Lego. Last summer while roaming around the swapmeet I started buying these figures from a vendor I like to call Fake Lego Lady. She sold tons of these figures that are modeled after the Lego Minifigure. Some are direct ripoffs of current Lego sets while others are completely new concepts like Super Mario Bros., characters form the Marvel and DC Universes not represented in the Lego line, and I think I saw figures from some computer games. I figured what the heck, there’s nothing wrong in trying to have figures not made by Lego but fit into their universe so I started buying some, and soon I had a decent size collection that I would like to share with you good people.
Starting with the big guys
Gray Hulk, Red Hulk, A more normal sized Hulkbuster, Venom, and The Thing. Other than the Hulkbuster, the figures feel like the normal mainline Lego figures.
Here are a bunch of random Batman figures. The one I really like is the Batman Beyond figure (he came with a cape for some reason so I just stuck it on him) The giant batwings are removable and if I ever do a Hall of Armor for Batman I will use these guys along with my regular figures.
The Spider-Man Collection. I bought Venom and Carnage before they were actually released by Lego (I have the legit figures too). The other figures I picked up because I recognized them from the Spider-Man Unlimited runner game on iOS
Just some different versions of Captain America. The one wearing a helmet has a gun on his hip and who knew there was a girl Captain America.
The Fantastic Four. I’m looking for the fire version of Johnny Blaze
A bunch of different Superman figures including a cyborg and Bizarro figures. Also I believe Superman’s Dad is the figure on the far right.
The many different Iron Man Suits. Most are taken from the comic books, while a couple of others are mashups between Ironman and different superheroes. Apparently Iron Lantern was a comic.
The final group are figures that I picked up to either fill out the buy 5 deal Fake Lego Lady had, or because I thought they were cool. The Lego version of the Hulk figure is expensive so this one is a placeholder.
Well there you have it, my little collection of non Lego minifigures.
Currently Listening To: Trick Daddy – Thugs Are Us on the iPhone. I wasn’t expecting much from this album other than the two songs from college, but it isn’t bad.
Chris Watches…
WWE Fastlane – WWE Network: Last Sunday was the last Pay Per View before Wrestlemania (think of it as an episode of Raw that was actually more interesting). The matches were solid which was a surprise but the one thing that bothered many users of the WWE Network was that the stream would stutter and the HD would drop. This happened a lot during the first hour, and was a pain.
Bellator – Spike: Bellator had a fight on Friday that promoted Kimbo Slice vs. Dada 5000 and Ken Shamrock vs. Royce Gracie. Both fights were major letdowns. Kimbo fight but fighters were gassed by the second round and the third round was just two winded guys swinging at air. The Shamrock/Grace fight started out fine until Grace hit Shamrock in the junk, and then when Shamrock realized what happened he was dropped the fight was ended. So much hype for nothing.
Love – Netflix: I decided to check this out after seeing the advertisements and after one episode I’m still waiting to see when it lives up to being under Comedy.
Girls – HBO: Its back, and it starts out at Marnie’s Wedding. I find this show to be entertaining and Ray and Adam continue to be my favorite characters. Also finally it was fun to see Adam and Jessa have somewhat of a connection that will be odd in later episodes.
The People vs. OJ Simpson – FX: The unintentional comedic spots took a back seat to the scene when Marcia Clark met with the Goldman’s. The actor playing Ron Goldman’s dad looks exactly like him, and we get more Lance Ito. It was interesting to find out that Shapiro wanted OJ to take a plea instead of going to trial.
I need to catch up on Billions, Agent Carter (I missed the last episode), and I want to see if I want to continue watching Vinyl.
Chris Listens To…
Last week my unlistened playlist in my iTunes was at 13,515 tracks. At today’s screen grab I am at
13,266. I probably would have been at 13,000 but I’ve been trying to kill off some of my rollover data from last month and I’ve been streaming Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Music while on my morning walks. At some point I will get back to listening to audiobooks but right now I’ve been discovering tracks on albums I haven’t listened to. Also some albums I’m listening to and wondering why I bought them.
Pickups
After visiting the Tax Lady I stopped by the Goodwill that is down the street from her office. I found a bunch of CDs but when I checked the cases, no discs. C’mon people. Anyways I did find this game along with a bunch of other games I already own
The Cars racing games are actually fun to play. I believe the first Platinum I earned was a Cars game, and I’m interested to see if this game is just as good as the two Cars games on the PS3. Also there are car versions of Mike and Sully form Monsters Inc. in the game.
Alright Pixlpeeps, I need to get my walk in, and then a trip to the bank, followed by looking for a non meat lunch. I might check out the Italian spot today. Have a good weekend!
That’s all for now, more later!

For today’s Song of the Day I decided to go with the title track from an album that Yo-Yo Ma, Mark O’Connor, and Edgar Meyer made entitled Appalachia Waltz.
The album overall is excellent. There are a couple of songs I wanted to share in this spot but for some odd reason they were not available on YouTube. My favorite out of the album is called Mama where it builds up in the middle. If you are a casual Classical Music fan check this album out.
