Since this is the last day of Blog A Day, it would only be fitting to bring my Lego minifigures back to something video game related so this is my current collection of Lego Dimension figures. There is one more on the way that I pre-ordered because it was 50% off retail. I’m currently waiting for the announcement of the Arcade figure so I can knock that add-on level off and finish some parts of the game. LD is a game I probably won’t platinum because one of the trophy’s is a time based trophy in the main game’s version of Portal and I don’t like to be rushed.

*I went a little old school and used my phone's camera to take all the pictures of the Lego figures used in BaD.

Currently Listening To: Sia – 1000 Forms of Fear in my main iTunes Library. I forgot I owned this album but to my credit I believe it was a Google Play Freebie.

Mad Max – PS4: This game hasn’t left the PS4 since I uninstalled Grand Theft Auto V and Lego Jurassic World and is easily one of my favorite games of the year. I would have been finished with the main story already if not for me spending time just roaming around picking up scrap and picking fights with random enemies. Earlier I said it was Batman in the desert, and I still believe it is, but now I’ve amended my view including Borderlands. It’s Batman in a gloomy version of Borderlands. I like picking up scrap, and I seem to be tackling a lot of the side missions more than the actual story missions. It’s quick encounters, I get my fix of button smashing, and in the end I get to collect stuff.

The one thing I don’t care for is when I load my game, leave whatever base I’m in and I get a storm warning. Why? I skip these events because I don’t want to deal with them. At some point I should because I am two defeated enemies away from filling up some counter of things to do in game.

Looking through the trophy list, and a Platinum is doable but a couple of the trophies are just grinding. We shall see what my view on the game is by the time I get through the main story mission. Do I pursue platinum number eleven or do I uninstall this game and start up one of the Assassin’s Creed games I have sitting on a shelf ready to be played.

 

NCAA Football 2014 – PS3: I just finished the MAC Championship with the undefeated Central Michigan Chippewas blowing out Kent State. The Chips are now waiting to see if they make the National Title Game. It looked like it was going to be a battle between the states of Michigan and Ohio with the Ohio State Buckeyes in the top spot but they lost their Conference Championship game, so it looks like it might be a team like Nebraska or whoever is sitting in 3^rd.

 

Why Chris Didn’t Watch The Oscars

I get the importance of the Oscars but I didn’t watch. In fact I haven’t watched in a number of years. I don’t care how the academy picks the films that are nominated or which actors get the statue. There seems to be a lot of good movies that get left out *cough* Straight Outta Compton, and Star Wars for other films. It almost seems like Hollywood is quick to promote smaller films as a “look at us, we produce quality” while paying their bills on the backs on the latest Avengers, or Fast and Furious mega hits. If a flick is good, it should be nominated. It seems like the people in charge are just promoting these smaller flicks while every so often throwing a Titanic or Mad Max to win every so often to appease the common folk (Hollywood Confidential was head and shoulders better than a cruise ship hitting some ice). I see the group that votes on the Oscars as the Seniors in high school who are in charge of picking out the people for Most Popular, Prettiest Eyes, etc. list in the yearbook.

 

Alright Pixlpeeps, Blog A Day 2016 was a lot of fun. There were a handful of times where I said, “what the heck am I going to take a picture of” but it turned out well. I hope you good people also got a lot of enjoyment out of BaD and Happy Birthday to you crazy Leap Year Babies!
