You know what I am excited for? After I hand out the last piece of candy tonight I'm swapping out the majority of the music on my phone for the Christmas Playlist. Yeah I'm that guy. The one who wants to listen to Christmas Music in September but I try and wait until after Halloween. Sorry Thanksgiving, we're cool but there's not a lot of music about the joys of eating turkey. Good morning Pixlpeeps! As you can tell I am happy that Halloween is here because of what goes on my phone on November 1st. How are you good people? Did you enjoy any games this past weekend?

I mentioned it during Quick Hits that I finally finished the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. If you're keeping score I have completed the game on the PS3, PS4, and now PC. The one thing that really sticks out for me on the PC version aside from the various installs is that the mods for the game brought in new ways to play. Of course some of the purist out there will say it's cheating but I already played the story mode twice, and I don't go online so what's the big deal? Besides who doesn't love explosive rounds in your weapon that never has to be reloaded while you are indestructible? It's like being a superhero but who is more in the gray area between hero and villain.

So far I am 74% finished with the game, and on Friday I collected all the pieces to the letter to find out who the Los Santos killer is. I started looking for the pieces to the UFO but I can't find the piece that is in the ocean. I might have to read some info about it. The teleportation feature in the Native Trainer makes these little collection missions a breeze. After I find all of those pieces I will go and finish playing through the races, and the remaining Strangers and Freaks stuff before either saying I'm completely finished with the game and uninstalling it...or I'm going to keep it on the hard drive and use various mods and just play around.

If you haven't played GTA V, play through it without the mods. It's really a good game. If you've played through it a number of times and are on the fence about trying the PC version, get it because the mods alone make this a brand new game.

Heck if you buy it before Tuesday on Steam you can get it for $36. That's not bad considering I waited for a random Target sale to get the physical copy for $30 but I downloaded it through the Rockstar Social Club.

Another game I played last weekend NBA 2K16 because I wanted to try out a couple of uniform ideas. One of them didn't work as well as it did in my head, which is a shame but the second one turned out alright. I thought it would be fun to use the Tony Gwynn era SDSU Baseball jerseys (the team currently uses these jerseys) as a basketball jersey

Here are the SDSU pinstripes

And here they are as basketball jerseys

I do like them and I think I might make a home version either with or without the pinstripes. They also remind me of the late 90s Chicago Bulls alternate uniforms

The final game I played this week was a return to one I've been playing for a couple of years now, Simpsons Tapped Out.

I bought the new land expansion in the back of the Springfield and I decided to redesign the layout of the city. I purchased the cobble stone option a while back for 40 donuts, and I am making the move to make all the streets cobble stone and I'm going to add more trees. This should be interesting. Anyways I need to finish here because I need to get ready, run some errands, maybe hit the thrift stores on the way back for some CDs, and buy some candy because the mini freeloaders dressed as superheroes will be showing up at my door. Also I need to figure out in the next 30 minutes if I want to carve a pumpkin.

That's all for now, more later!

-Chris

damn NBA2k16 has good graphics.  I know I talked for a long time about getting it, but when I did I got so pissed when I was trying to play and it was requiring my email.  Didn't get far past that.

Yeah it needs the email I think for use for the NBA2K website. All else fails create a throwaway GMail account.

I guess I just get annoyed a console game would dare ask that.  Maybe I'm just old fashioned.
