So I've been lagging a bit here, my fault so today is another one of my part What's Chris Playing/Quick Hits because I missed Friday and I missed yesterday so why not combine? Anyways let's get started.

Chris Plays...

NCAA Football 14 – PS3

I picked up my Eastern Michigan Dynasty, saved a copy and at the end of the season after winning another National Title I decided to take the Arizona State job. The first game the pocket passer QB was fine but against a team with a pulse he wasn't as effective. I decided to burn the redshirt of a JC transfer QB because of his mobility. The arm strength isn't as good but being able to get out of the pocket and run the spread option opens up the field.

Redout: Enhanced Edition – Steam

This was part of the Bundle Stars promotion of a new sale game every day for a week. I wanted to play this game for a while but I wasn't going to spend the $30 for it. For $12 I was all over it. At first I thought I bought the VR version because a VR category appeared in my Steam library, but I could also play the game without the goggles. Redout is basically a really nice Wipeout. I can play at max settings but only at 30 FPS so I'm tinkering with lower settings to get it at 60 FPS. It's a fun game and I'm glad to finally have it in my library.

Table Top Racing – Android

01

I have this game on Steam but when I saw it in the Google Play Store I wanted to give it a spin and see how the portable version compares to the big brother. The courses are different but the same racing is still there.

02

I decided to go with the on screen controls because I don't like the tilt steering. The environment is different but the courses for the most part are still the same. You race at a Japanese restaurant, on a table, etc, just the items surrounding it are different.

Quick Hits Time!

I'm currently ripping my music to Musicbee and there is one thing I found that's kind of a pain is that when I add MP3 files the tag info will disappear during saving on some tracks. Its a pain but nothing big. So far I am at 31k audio tracks and I still have a ton of CDs to get to. Once completed I would like to get a bigger external hard drive so I don't have to worry about space.

One of the things I downloaded awhile back were some old radio shows from the 30-50s. They're fun to listen to especially for the commercials. There are a lot of cigarette commercials! I also got a bunch of old commercials and those are fun to listen to. I'm currently listening to Dragnet. I hit play, close my eyes, and just picture what's going on. This will be my new thing before I go to sleep and each episode is a half hour.

Randoms

While roaming around Walmart I swear I saw Hot Wheels reseller guy. Heck I even took a picture. After he left the dump bin I went to check it out and

03

That's not what I was expecting. I found another Batmobile and Ice Charger from Fast and the Furious which most likely I will open because I have a couple of them already. As for random dude who camped out in front of the dump bin, thanks!

Pickups!

Games

Again from Bundle Stars, the game I was most excited for and I'm happy it now sits in my Steam library

04

Not a bad deal for $12.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am out. Have a good rest of the week!

That's all for now, more later!

-Chris

Table Top Racing looks interesting. Reminds me of Toy Commander a bit.

It does have the same vibe. Toy racing like Toy Commander and Micro Machines is a genre we need more of.

Someone on Retronauts was talking about Micromachines that got me interested in the games.

are they still making those NCAA games? I have a feeling they aren't.

I like the idea of tabletop racing. I like little "miniature world" games like that. I remember my favorite is the board in Disney's Mickey Mouse Castle of Illusion game where you jump in teacups and walk along bookshelves and stuff.  Very cool for back in the day.

Nope not after the big lawsuit. Shame really because I enjoy it more than Madden and having the option to upload your logo for create a school was fun.

Toy racing games are fun especially when the developers get the right mix of silliness and good driving

Was it Flickr's icons above the image? Those bother me.
