I like to think that today’s entry is more than ramblings on a Monday Morning but most likely it will probably be just that. Sure there was some game related stuff I did this past week, but other than a couple of spots here and there, I really wasn’t sitting in front of a screen with a controller in my hand for that long, so instead here we are with a couple of gaming items, stuff I found, and other semi-interesting randoms.

 

Grid 2 - Steam

I have found this game to be more interesting than Grid Motorsport even though both are really just the same game with some lipstick added to make one newer than the other. What interests me in 2 is that it combines a faux social media aspect to a little story mode that makes the diving portion have more depth. The story is there is a promoter who wants to create this world racing circuit and he needs a team to do that. You are that team. You race in different countries getting other teams to come aboard, and in between you can get invited to special promo and races where you can unlock new cars. Now with each race won, you gain fans, and these fans are apparently talking about you on social media, and there are clips from ESPN talking about how this racing league is growing. Compare this with after the end of every “season” in Motorsport you latch on to a new team and eventually have to race with the top team in the division. The goals are not as meaty but again the racing is basically the same. I have a feeling I might finish 2 by the end of 2018.

 

Injustice 2 Mobile - iOS

I haven’t touched the console game in a week because every time I sit in front of the TV and I want to play a game I end up playing NCAA Football 14 on the PS3. Well to get that Injustice fix I’m jump on the phone and play. I unlocked a five star character from a 150 gem box which was a nice surprise because I thought I had to upgrade my 4 star Batman and that was going to take forever. I am also going to unlock a star upgrade for Flash whenever the game maintenance is finished, and there is Supergirl from the TV show that is in the game but I can’t unlock that one because I have to finish in like the top 10% of arena to earn all the shards that is usually reserved for folks who play constantly, and the folks in Asia and other areas who hacked the game before it got patched.

 

Ramblings

l Since the new year is quickly approaching I am starting to go through my laptop and see what needs to be moved to the external hard drives. I am also going to need to pick up another external hard drive to back up my music library on my laptop.

l In other cleaning news I am going to go through my podcasts and see which ones I can get rid of. I read some good advice a couple of days ago where someone wrote something like “keep track of the pods you like, and if you see an episode that interests you, download it” I’m going to do this starting now instead of starting in the new year. I write more about this on Friday

l It’s been warm here in Southern California and then in the past couple of days the weather realized it wasn’t supposed to be and now its cold. I do like the cooler weather because I can wear hoodies.

l I want to thank the folks on my social media who don’t push their political agendas 24/7. I get we all have our different beliefs but damn, some folks make it their life to constantly post about it.

I don’t think I bought any games recently but Toys R Us is blowing out some Disney Infinity/Skylander stuff for a $1 each and this is what I bought

 

 

 Hopefully the boat unlocks the dark sections of the Superchargers Map. I don’t know if the car does but it was a buck so why not. There are some packs I thought about getting but didn’t. I might swing by later on today because even the Disney Infinity stuff was dropped to a $1 last night.

I added some Christmas music, apparently I am close to completing a Madonna Studio Albums discography so I picked up a couple, and a Lucy Pearl album that I liked years ago, but never picked up.  On my way out the lady working the store said "If I don't see you before, Merry Christmas" She's cool.

I found the Batmobile with the 50^th Anniversary card, and a cool Corvette that I never owned before.

 

Another Milano that I opened, and finally I run into a Beatles Yellow Submarine. Thanks reseller guy for not buying this one!
