For the most part my cold has run its course with the exception of me trying to breathe through my nose, that’s still hit and miss but other than that, I’m good. And that is my over share of the day. Hello Pixlpeeps, since I am better, I am going to be running some errands after I type this up, edit some pics and upload everything. This also means there might be a stop to the Thrift Store to check out some .50 CDs and see if anything is worth adding to the library. But before all of that let’s see what Chris has been playing

 

Chris And Epic Games

Remember when someone used my e-mail to sign up for an account? Yeah after a couple of months of being frustrated I finally heard back (nice people). They wanted me to put the account on hold instead of canceling, which I think is because they want the number of users to be padded, but after I replied with erase my account they did and I am free! I tried their game and well it’s not for me. I see the appeal and maybe I might give it another go, possibly when it arrives on the Switch, but until then I do not have an account with Epic. Even if Epic took a while to get back to me, their e-mails seemed friendly enough so I have no ill will towards them.

 

Frustrations With Marvel Strike Force

Every morning when I wake up, I launch the app and then proceed to do the daily grind of the game. Don’t get me wrong I love playing this game, and it is fun to finally level up a character’s gear (it takes a long time) and I have a squad that is decent. I mean I don’t grind the top 5 to the point where they are insanely tough but I tend to spread it out to top three solid lines, and one really, REALLY good line that I use to level people.

My frustration is with the raids. I am still with my default alliance which is fine, and there are a good number of users that could go and kick some behind in the raids that I take part in. Instead nobody does anything and the minute I start one, and is almost finished two people jump in and do nothing. Yes they do this just for the freebies. Instead of pitching in and maybe getting better stuff they just sit around and take the crap you get for doing nothing. I’d like to stay with this Alliance and help build it up but if everyone is content why even bother?

 

Pokemon Quest & Mario Tennis Online Whatever It’s Called Tournament

 

I tried this last night and well it isn’t bad. You start with a Pokemon, take it to a field, let it beat down other Pokemon, collect stuff go to campsite. Then with the stuff you collected you make some kind of gumbo, and other Pokemon visit, they join your team and you repeat the cycle. You don’t do anything control wise other than hit the special meter when it’s charged and drag the items into the gumbo.

 

Yeah I like it. It’s casual, the artstyle is different because it’s blocky, and did I mention I don’t do much? I’m hoping if it ever comes to mobile I can sync my account to it so I can play on different devices like my phone (on the go) or when I am on the couch with the iPad.

 

Mario Tennis

I also fired up the demo last night and good lord I just wanted to jump into the game but I had to play through a demo that felt like it would never end. It’s tennis, and has the same controls that every other tennis game had since the Dreamcast, relax Nintendo you didn’t invent the wheel, you just threw Mario on it. The only things I learned were the super moves, and other Nintendo-ish things and then it was off to the online tournament. I played two games. The first game I got destroyed and by the points they amassed it looks like they were playing since day 1. The second game I played I destroyed the other player, but they had just as many points as the first person. Kind of odd but I’ll take the win. .500 baby!

A super powerful Zurg, a ton of gold, and some level juice (my term) all for $100. Yeah if I’m spending $100 I’m buying a ton of games for the laptop, not one character. Good try Disney.
