So I just got back from Costco because I figured if I get there when it opens, I can breeze in an out with ease. Well me and apparently everyone else had the same idea but at least the little tasting stations weren’t setup yet so the grazers didn’t get a chance to leave their carts in the middle of the aisle. We are at the point in the year when you can tell who the locals are and who is from Canada. It was 69° degrees outside and the locals were dressed like it was snowing. The good people from Canada: shorts and a t-shirt. I was wearing a hockey jersey because it is cool enough to wear one outside. Anyways’s while I’m eating my fries let’s catch up with what I have been playing.

First I saw this on Reddit and thought it was funny because this is what if felt like when I was installing some PS4 games

01

Chris Plays…

NCAA Football 14 - PS3: The Duke Blue Devils win the National Title in Season 4! The Blue Devils are in the toughest division of college football with at least four teams ranked in the ACC Coastal Division. The Atlantic division has I think 3 ranked teams so the ACC is stacked. I also added Notre Dame which adds to the conference. The Devils finished with 1 loss, to Georgia Tech and at the end of the regular season finished 3rd in the polls behind #1 Clemson and #2 Georgia Tech. Clemson beat GT, and the Devils moved up to 2nd. At the Orange Bowl, the Devils easily beat Clemson and became National Champions. The team that couldn’t win the ACC is National Champions…because college football rankings is whacky.

This season the Devils are 2-1 after surviving (by three points) against Georgia State, getting blown out by Notre Dame, and losing their #22 ranking, leading up to the Devils blowing out poor San Jose State 91-21. Their secondary was not fast so it was nothing but 50 yard bombs. This is a down year for this squad I think they might lose 3 more games.

Grand Theft Auto V - PC: Well this was my entertainment when the internet was out. Yes instead of playing something from Mount Backlog I went with good old GTAV with god mode. Explosive ammo is the best. Currently Trevor just entered Vespucci Beach and him and Michael are about to go check on Michael’s daughter.

WWE Supercard - iOS: Finally we get some folks on the squad who want to win. There was a purge last week of three players who just take up space and the new folks want to win team events. Our latest team event all but one person upgraded their cards (I was the only one who maxed out their set) and we destroyed another squad by 7 thousand points. We got a good pack of cards as a prize as well as a bunch of Battleground points that can be used to buy packs. I’m around a 1,000 points away from buying a Summer Slam pack, which is the highest level of cards in the game. You only get one card, but it will do wonders for my squad.

Space Marshalls 2 - iOS: So this is the game I bought last week and I have played three missions and well this game is a lot of fun. So basically you are in a space western (think Firefly without the cussing in Chinese) and you travel to different places to fulfill mission objectives

02

Each mission starts off at home base where you get your mission, pick your weapon, shirt, and hat. The shirt provides different shield/health upgrades, and your hat just makes you look cool.

03

You communicate with text screens. I turned off the sound so I don’t know if there is actual dialogue but this is how I communicate.

04

The controls for the game actually work well. The little directional control works fine but sometimes I have to re-position my left thumb because it tends to wander towards the middle of the screen. The right thumb control is for your weapon. You pull back and let go to shoot. The faster you do this, the faster you shoot. To change weapons all you do is tap on the icon. To go into sneak mode, you tap the screen. It is a lot easier to sneak kill the bad guy (they have zzz’s over their head so it’s like how Batman doesn’t kill people, just really really injures them).

Each mission has three hidden coins, and a hat. If you have 7 coins you can use them in this vending machine at base that unlocks a new weapon.

This game is a lot of fun, but I think plays best on the iPad because of the screen real estate. It’s a good stealth game or if you want, you can run and gun. Overall it feels good to find a solid non pay to win game on a mobile device.

Before I end my blog entry, Rest in Peace Stan Lee. Thank you for adding a ton of joy and entertainment in my life. Thank you Mr. Lee. Excelsior!

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I want to eat lunch. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

Oh man, the PS4 is terrible for downloading.

And GTA is made for mods. I cannot think of a better game series for that community.

It is freaking horrible how slow it is. I love the Playstation platform but damn.

Man the mods in that game just add to the game. I need to start tinkering with it again so i can drive around in Lightning McQueen or the Batmobile and take down bad guys.

Space Marshalls looks pretty cool.

Stan Lee passed? Darn. I knew it couldn't be long but that's a shame. What a happy guy.

It's a fun game and most likely I'll buy the original and I think someone on Reddit said there might be a part 3.

I often get the urge to play the new GTA. I never got very far in it. I'd like to return to it.

Stan Lees work definitely effected my development as a person and as a writer. The man was a genius.

I like it. Solid story lots to things to do in the map, and if you play on PC so many mods.

Yes he was. On Reddit people are sharing stories. One of the cool ones is where a guy is retelling the story of his father and how he wrote to Stan Lee about some annuals not being in stores close to him. He sounded like a geniune good guy.
