So here I am on Saturday morning typing up what usually is a Friday blog because I got lazy on Friday. Actually I started the blog but then I got caught up in other important business (I went to pick up some Mexican Food for breakfast) and then went about my day without updating you good people. Anyways let’s get started.

Chris’ Various Randoms

-It has been a full week of ripping CDs and I figure that I’ve ripped 60 CDs day or half a CD book. You would think at this point CD ripping would be super fast but it’s still has fast as it was 10 years ago. Anyways I still have a long ways to go before I finish moving my music collection back to my laptop.

-I spent a couple of hours re-downloading some audiobooks I bought from Humble Bundle. Apparently you can only download two at a time or else the download speed drops. Once I added these books to iTunes I added this one to my phone and I finished Chapter 1

01

Wonder Woman goes back to her home island to investigate a missing diver and while there she discovers there is an island just like her’s but it is the total opposite and is filled with warrior men.

-I just realized Black Friday is next week and I already figured out what I want to get. I want a copy of God Of War, Lego Villains, one other game that escapes me, and maybe a Roku. As much as I like my Apple TV it gets all finicky at times with the remote app. If there are a some DVDs that are on sale I might pick those up too. I know I should get Blu-rays but I don’t have a Blu-ray ripper.

-I have a new favorite show thanks to TLC. My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding. Every episode is a random family who’s daughter is getting married and all the crazy that goes along with it. Usually the wedding ends with the police at the reception.

-I bought new headphones from an Amazon Flash Sale earlier this week

02

The Porta Pros have been around since 1984 and they are known as one of the best open back headphones based on price and sound quality. I bought them for $22 before California’s crazy tax.

03

As you can tell nothing has change from their design, it’s a no frills packaging, compared with anything Beats where they come in a fancy box. All you get is a plastic container, the headphones, and a swanky headphone bag

04

I’m going to buy the hard case after Black Friday on Amazon.

06

As you can tell the design hasn’t changed from 1984, and the headphones do fold up into a small footprint. They are really light, so light that I feel asleep with them on. At first I really didn’t notice any sound difference but after a bit it started to feel like the music was more open, and it felt good to breathe new life into songs I love. For such a small pair of on ear headphones they produce some real good sound, and I get why people love these headphones. I think I might replace the black pads with some retro color yellow pads, something bright.

-From Slickdeals I saw that Radian games was giving away their library so I downloaded all 10 games. I tried one of them and it feels like Geometry Wars, which was a fun game (my favorite was the homebrew version for the PSP)

07

-Another freebie iOS game, Office Story which is a business simulator. I haven’t tried this game yet.

08

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off, Harvard vs Yale is on and I really don’t care for either team but I’d rather watch the Ivy’s play a game at Fenway Park than the usual Big Ten games that are currently on TV. Have a good weekend!

That’s all for now, more later!

Gypsy weddings, huh? Sounds fun.

i wish i had a bluray ripping setup. I would like to have my movies digitally but ultraviolet is only for popular movies, plus their software sucks.

Thanks for reminding me I still have some headphones around here from when I used them playing music. Audio Technica ATH M40fs, ancient and soft parts falling apart. Notice the adaptor. This thing was pricey back when I got it and meant to be plugged into a mixing board or amplifier. Maybe, just maybe I need one of those sweet amazon cans you got.

I want to use them now when I do my school work at the library to cut out all the crying kids, people snacking loudly, or otherwise talking in a normal tone or even on their phone.
