Good morning Pixlpeeps! It is Friday, the weather here has been 20° below normal which is always good and I am ready to catch you good people up on my Quick Hits. Sound like fun? Let’s get started!

Chris Watches…

-Game Of Thrones ended last week, and I like it but I called that ending. The wrap up of the stories was too clean but the signs were in the show leading up to it. Here is what I don’t get (no spoilers): the amount of people bitching about not only the ending but the season. Was it perfect? Nope. Was it rushed? Yup. But is it something that needed a petition? Oh hell no. It’s a freaking show, sorry it didn’t end like you wanted it to, but it got an ending, a decent ending. I swear people now take more enjoyment out of complaining, than anything else.

-The Challenge had their season finale and it was good. The competition was insane having to do 90% of it in the desert. The reunion should be fun but there will be a lot of unneeded drama and arguing because it’s The Challenge.

-So I started up a Netflix account again. My mom wanted to watch movies on it but didn’t know how to set up an account so I just set up my old account, and then gave her a login screen where she can add all the random movies she can watch. I also started Season 3 of the Office (again), and started watching Star Trek Voyager from the beginning. I like Voyager, and the whole story about being lost in the delta quadrant trying to get home.

Chris Listens To…

-I binge listened to this podcast released by a reporter from one of the LA Stations that deals with a local murder case. The show is called Flawed Justice and it’s presented kind of like a Dateline episode. Since that one looks like it might be finished I’m starting to look at other shows like that to go along with my Wrestling, Dallas Cowboys, Mike Rowe, and The Challenge Podcast lineups.

-I finished ripping my CDs! Oh thank goodness that is done. I also left my laptop running and converted 45k tracks to AAC, and the dang process took a day and a half. I still have my FLAC copy but the AAC files are going to my iTunes. As for stats from my finished excel sheet, I have 3,006 CD albums and 180 CD Singles. *Psst I bought some more CDs yesterday. After I finish here I am going to erase the MP3s from my iTunes, and drag all my newly created AAC files to iTunes. Also some of the new AAC files will make their way to my Benjie MP3 player to be used at the gym (it’s the super tiny music player I bought a couple of months ago)

Chris Reads…

-Since the CDs are done I’m going to start up reading my comics again. I kinda want to start over with the X-Men and start with the first issue.

-I also want to start ripping the rest of my audiobooks. Around a month ago I bought Bill O’Reilly’s Killing series and I’ve only ripped one of them. It’s time to jump back into that series.

Pickups

Games: Zip

Music: I hit the usual two thrifts and the library, and for $9 I got 20 CDs. I finally added the Coyote Ugly soundtrack to my library, a 90s Compilation, as well as another Sarah Brightman CD. The rest are Classical, and Big Band, filling holes in my library. I forgot to take pictures and I’m being lazy right now because it’s breakfast time.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good weekend!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

yeah it's been cooler here too. I haven't minded it, but it is unusual. We're gonna have a cookout and eat on the back porch on sunday so the weather will be condusive to that though.

I bought the reprinted versions of the original Xmen comics a long time ago. They're pretty good, and it's nice to see where it all came from.

I read the first six issues of the original XMen many moons ago and it was fun to see how the characters looked. The only drawback to my copy is that the scans kind of look blurry but that might be due to the age of the comics.

I kinda liked Voyager too. I've only watched season 1 so far though.

Voyager is a solid show. I've been watching in order on Netflix but jumping around whenever it comes on TV. I think right now there's a marathon on BBC America.

At least people are still excited for those books?

I think most of the people complaining never read the books and wanted the typical happy ending.
