So I held out on writing an update until today because I thought just maybe I would play something different than the usual two freebie games with a sprinkling of old Madden but alas here we are and I played the two freebie games with a sprinkling of old Madden. So here we are.

Mariokart - iOS

It’s been almost a week and well I’ve hit the point where it’s all grind to get closer to the next group of races. Don’t get me wrong I do like playing this game but the excitement of constantly wanting to play it is dying down and I usually play a little bit at night, hit the max for updating characters/cars/gliders/money and then I wait until 11pm Pacific where everything resets and I continue. The postitive is that I still can upgrade the player level and guess what I hit

01

It took three days which is a little crazy because that means I played this game a lot. I signed up for the free two week trial of Gold Pass, got all the freebies and then canceled. I’m not paying money for this game when I have full versions on the Wii and 3DS (I gave my Switch copy to my cousin who plays the game every single day). In the “multiplayer” leaderboards I moved up to level 4, so there’s that.

Gems Of Wars - Switch

Still kinda carrying my guild but there are a couple of other people who are putting in work so I can’t complain. I don’t want to move guilds because I still consider myself a casual player because I don’t constantly grind and take part in raids and what not. I hit all my guild goals within hours on the first day and the rest of the week is just me playing, collecting and occasionally helping out to unlock the next level of goodies for everyone.

Madden 17 - PS4

So I quit my Bucs Franchise, erased all the random franchise files and started again with the Chargers. I’m trying to play a more realistic game which means my run n’ shoot offense isn’t great and I raced out to an 0-2. It was time for a team rebuild because I just like trading away players so I got rid of Rivers for next season’s 1st and a random player. I signed Johnny Manziel and two snaps into the game he breaks a collarbone. The Chargers are currently 11-2 with Tavarious Jackson. In the offseason I’m looking for a solid 3rd WR, defensive help, a veteran QB who can play for a season, and hopefully I find a QB in the draft.

I do like that there are a ton of different uniform options because you can create some odd ones like

02

Which I call “stormy skies” get it Chargers, stormy skies? I thought it was funny and something Nike would say. 70s helmet, alt powder blues, road blue pants, and color rush socks. I like using the 70s yellow pants as well and then the Chargers look like the Michigan Wolverines. I kinda like this part more than the actual game.

03

I see EA is trolling the Chargers by having Ryan Leaf’s 16 be retired at old Qualcomm Stadium.

In other random game stuff

-Twitch released their freebie stuff. I connected my Steam account so I can have the fancy Twitch skins/car for Rocket League. I gave my cousin the code for The Walking Dead game because I’m not signing up for Epic games.

-I’m going to be trying to play more of my PC backlog this week. It’s been awhile and I have games I’d actually like to play other than the two freebies I sink a ton of time into.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. I need to get some stuff done. Have a good week!

Ha ha. I love that you signed Johnny Manziel and he got immediately hurt. That's hilarious.

yeah... if I feel like playing Mario Kart, there are a lot of better options.

Mark tried to get me into NHL 19 recently but I wouldn't do it. I haven't played a sports game in a long time.
