On Saturday I had a blog all typed up because I didn’t want to get out of bed and be productive. After finishing it I didn’t like it so here we are…I’LL READ IT LIVE!!! This opened up more time for me to actually play some games. Crazy, right? Let’s take a quick tour because I think my laundry is almost done.

Chris Finished

Zip. There might be a couple on deck that could be finished, but we shall see.

Chris Plays

Gems Of War - Switch: Oh boy it’s been a big couple of weeks for my squad.

Let’s Recap:

-I left my guild!: It was time, I wasn’t happy with the lack of participation by everyone else so I left and I found a really good group. I’m happy, people are throwing in coin to get better stuff and it seems like a good situation.

-I doubled my Mythic collection: Before last week I had about 8. I then proceeded to pull one from a set of 50 keys I bought, and then I’m just upgrading a bunch of cards I have to Mythic level.

Overwatch - Switch: I played on the big TV for the first time, and it wasn’t as good as I hoped. It wasn’t the graphics or anything it was the fact that my group someone took the character I always use so I wasn’t comfortable and I was target practice. I’ll try more later on today.

NBA 2K19 - Switch: I played a couple of games both handheld and docked and man the game does not look next gen worthy docked. Handheld it’s fine. I'm almost at the All-Star Break with the Gulls and they haven't lost in a good 5 or 6 games.

Mariokart - 3DS: Because of the phone version I’ve gone back and started playing this game. I would have played the Switch version but I gave it to my cousin (he plays the hell out of it) and I’m good with this version for now. I’ll probably get the Switch version again after Christmas.

Chris Starts

Ace Combat - 3DS: I’ve owned this for years but finally got around to playing it. It’s Ace Combat on the 3DS. I mean there really isn’t much more to it than if you played any AC game you’re used to this game.

Star Wars: Flight Of The Falcon - GBA: Have you ever said “I want Star Wars meets After Burner?” to me this is what this game is. You fly the Millennium Falcon through levels where you shoot at enemies coming at you and I think at points behind you. I started this while watching football so I wasn’t paying a lot of attention but this will get more play time because it’s Star Wars.

Bastion - iOS: I started this game and it feels so good on this platform, almost like it was made for it. Already I'm farther than I was on the 360. This will be a fun game to play while couch surfing.

Random Game Stuff

-I forgot how much the 3DS XL hurts so I bought a grip for it that should be here in an hour or so depending how fast local Post Office guy is. I bought it last night and thanks Amazon!

-Saturday I was roaming around instead of hitting the swap meet and if you have a Ross, check them out. I saw 3 or 4 Lego Dimensions for the 360 for $13. Not bad. I might grab one just to have for the 360. Also we had a new 5 Below open up down the street and they had a ton of Destiny 2 for X1, and Darksiders II for PS3. They also had a random Animal Crossing Amibo, some stands for the Switch, gel covers for controllers, and the kicker was they had a bunch of small World of Nintendo figures. I don’t collect them but if you have a store near your house check them out.

Alright Pixlpeeps my laundry is done. Once I get through the mountain of clothing I need to work on an instruction manual. Hopefully sometime today I can get to reading your posts. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

I saw a lot of Gems of War add-ons for sale on Xbox today. If I was still playing it, I might have gotten some stuff. Instead I bought Road Rage for $2.99. It got terrible reviews but it looks like another Road Rash 3D, so I'm in.

I like Gems of War and it's one of the few freebie games where you don't really need to use real money. Finding a good guild though helps with the extra freebies.

I wish Road Rage was a better game. I would jump on it.

If I can just thwak someone off his bike, I'll consider it money well spent.

Hmmm, never heard of Flight of the Falcon. I never had a GBA though.

I definitely want to play Bastion eventually. I played a little on Xbox way back, and I really loved the narrator. Cool game.

I was on the fence about getting a GBA but eventually I got one long past it's prime. It's a fun little system and a lot of games rely on passwords to save your spot.

Bastion is a good game.

I have a couple of the World of Nintendo figures.  I don't get the typical Mario ones because you see Mario everywhere.  I do have an Animal Crossing one, a pixel Princess Peach from the original Super Mario Bros., and a Larry Koopa because I like the Koopalings and you don't see much merch of them.
