Good morning Pixlpeeps! So I was at the local Treasure Hunt yesterday and I found a bunch of cool stuff, that surprise involves gaming so I’m gonna share that with you. Spoiler this is going to be just a pickup blog and if you want to know what I watched (Mandalorian = very good, Jack Ryan S1 = excellent, MTV’s The Challenge = very good, all sorts of rastlin’ = hit and miss) or what I listened to (tons of podcasts), or what I read (zip, zilch, nada) that can probably be found in next week’s blog. Today it’s all about my finds because I want to hit the bank, grab some breakfast, and maybe check out a thrift or two today. Let’s get started.

My last Black Friday pickup for 2019 I used my gold coins in the Nintendo shop and picked up this game

01

2048 History is a .99 cent game that puts a twist on my favorite mobile game (I want to say it like the Australians say it: Mo-Bile). It’s presented in a 3/4 view so the controls can be a little wonky but but it’s still fun. More on this game in a later blog entry.

Monday Night I decided to make a trip to the local 5 Below while getting dinner (FYI the Ultimate Meatball Sub from Subway…make sure you watch the sandwich person lay garlic topping because mine was heavy handed and it was a wet mess that was delicious and caused a stomach ache) where was I? Oh right 5 Below. I like looking through the toys and on the way out I stop by the electronic stuff one aisle over and what do I find?

02

Call of Duty: Infinite Watch for PS4, and Yo-Kai Watch for 3DS. CoD I sold at a garage sale but I when I bought this game I thought I never played it. Turns out I played like one level and that was it. I get to complete the game now. I haven’t tried Yo-Kai yet. In fact it’s still sitting on my coffee table.

Ok so yesterday when I went to pick up some meds at Walgreen’s I said “let’s check out Treasure Hunt”. I wanted to see if there were any new items that appeared. I found a random Far Cry 4 on the shelves for $8. Not bad so I went to see where they games usually are and the case was empty. I was bummed but so as I was standing in the queue, I saw two bins filled with games. I jumped out of the queue and then proceeded to dig

03

You can kinda see the other bin on top.

After maybe 25 minutes of digging, finding a random PS2 game, and an empty collector’s edition of Catherine (you people who steal or open packages suck), I picked out the games I wanted

04

Tennis World Tour - Priced $40, 80% off to $8

Far Cry 4 - Priced $40, 80% off to $8

Fallout 76 - Priced $60, 90% off to $6

Battlefield 1 - Priced $60, 90% off to $6

WWE 2K19 - Priced $60, 90% off to $6

Syberia 3 - Priced $50, 90% off to $5

Total came out to $42 with tax. I left the most recent MLB The Show, but I might go back after writing this to get it.

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good weekend!

That’s all for now, more later!

I love the first two Syberia games. It's a continuing story. I haven't started the 3rd on yet though. I paid 40 bucks Canadian for it so 5 is very good,

Those are great prices. I'm mostly digital now, but if I came across a bin like that, I'd search it too.

Is History 2048 related to that history series whose years always add up to a multple of nine? Anno (plus a year) I believe.

I saw Yo-Kai Watch at my Five and Below as well.  I already have the game, and couldn't think of anyone else who would like it, so I didn't get it.  Yo-Kai Watch was really popular in Japan for a while.  It's a Pokemon ripoff with ghosts, but not near as good.

Goddamn, that's a big bin of games. I used to rummage through the cheap dvd bin at Walmart.
