Before I go on any trip where I won’t be sleeping in my own bed that night I go through this weird phase where I want to bring all these random things for me to do, to keep me busy because I don’t want to be bored. I’ve always done this and it happened again when I went to Vegas. At one point my carry-on bag consisted of the Switch, the 3DS XL, the Vita, and the mini laptop filled with every emulator and rom from the 8-16 bit era. This isn’t including the iPad that had a bunch of games, the Android tablet that is all books, with all the same stuff as the mini laptop, the phone, and the Android Music player that had basically all the same stuff as the mini laptop. This isn’t including the video content, the Spotify Downloaded Music Playlists, and digital books. Crazy, right? I knew I wasn’t going to use all of this but still I had this weird obsession but I finally paired it down to the mini laptop, the iPad, the Switch, my phone, and the Android Music player. Guess what I used the most on the entire trip? The stupid Android Music Player that surprise I listened to a bunch of Podcasts that were downloaded.

Yeah next trip I take I always say “I leanred X from the past trip and this is what I need to bring” but I end up doing the same dance anyways. At least the Android Music Player fits in my Switch case.

So what did I play during that trip? Heck what have I been playing period, let’s check it out

Chris Starts

UFC 3 - PS4: Thanksgiving morning my brother was playing and I was on the couch watching. After a couple of matches I decided to jump in, and play a little bit. I think it was all the time playing Knockout Kings/Fight Night helped me jump into this game and take down my opponent. Of course I also did own the previous UFC games on the Playstation and that awful one on X-Box. When I got home I bought my own copy and proceeded to create a character. My guy is currently 3-0, all knockouts, zero ground and pound.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare - PS4: So I jumped back into this game and proceeded to play two sections of one mission before losing interest. It’s CoD, it’s in space, I wish it was as cheesy as the movie Moonraker, and I think I will eventually get back to Earth.

Call Of Duty: Black Ops II - PS3: Well hello blast from the past. I actually think I never played this game so I tried a little (like first section little) before getting dizzy because surprise I played it after the other CoD game. I skipped the cutscenes in between the fighting because I just wanted to shoot the bad guys and run around the map, you know like how everyone else plays.

Chris Started…Again

Remember at the beginning I said I didn’t want to be bored? Well I added some games to my Android tablet to play that didn’t need (well one of them) internet and I went back and played a bit

Asphalt 8 - Android: Underneath the micro transactions that you don’t really need if you’re ok with grinding, Asphalt 8 is actually a fun racer. I started over and I have a couple of cars, I don’t take part in multiplayer, because I don’t care enough to play this game every day, and I collect the freebies.

WWE Immortals - Android: I tried this game again but apparently they killed off the servers so I couldn’t get my stacked (I mean STACKED) roster and I didn’t want to go through the hassle of collecting everyone again. This will be uninstalled.

Marvel: Puzzle Quest - Android: I went back to this game and really you can’t go wrong with a decent Match-3 puzzle game with some Marvel Characters. Heck the Puzzle Quest line of games are really solid. I don’t play this every day so there isn’t a need for me to play with other people.

Still Playing

Gems Of War - Switch: The guild is going well, the owner changed the requirements so now everyone just needs 10 trophies, and a 1,000 of those blue circle things a week. It’s not hard to achieve if you play everyday. I still kick in 200k in gold to the guild each week. My playing has also slowed down. I used to want to hit Tier 1 in the PVP, but now I don’t play as hard, and I am trying to unlock the medals that sit on top of the home screen.

NCAA Football 14 - PS3: Ok so I started a new career a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving. I was the UCLA Offensive Coordinator, and the Bruins went 13-1 with Pac12, and Rose Bowl victories, and then took the Hawaii job. Created Chris led the Rainbows to an undefeated record and a Fiesta Bowl win. After that I jumped ship because that team was so bad, and huge jobs opened, like South Carolina and Auburn, along with Pitt and a couple of other Power 5 schools. I thought it would be fun to just move to another MWC team but in the end I decided Auburn was the spot. I’ve never had a huge job this early in the game so why not give it a try?

In the first season the Tigers went 13-1 with the only loss being to Alabama. It was the last drive of the game, the Tigers blew a 10 point lead and it was 23-23 with a minute in change (oh I remember it because it was heart breaking). My mobile QB was knocked out of the game so I had to use my slower mobile QB but he was more accurate in the passing game. It was 3rd and 1 on the Alabama 40 and I went with a QB sneak and guy fumbles the ball. Alabama drove down the field and scored a TD with 20 seconds left. We had one last shot but my swiss cheese offensive line gave up three consecutive sacks, and that’s how the game ended. If I could I would have cut the entire line. Anyways in the offseason the Tigers signed the top class in the country including 5 5* players, 4 of them are on offense. It is a top mobile QB, two possession WR’s and a RB. Only the RB isn’t starting because last season’s RB won the Heisman. Currently the Tigers are 6-0, the defense needs some work, the O-line is better, but I still heavily recruited those two areas this season.

Alright folks I am off. There is a frozen coffee at Dunkin calling my name, along with a tasty breakfast option at McDonalds. Have a good week!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

I really liked Black Ops II. I need to go back to it and play some of the multplayer stuff.

Multiplayer in these games were always fun. I sucked but it was fun roaming around the map.

I was trying, and failing, to get my friend Mark to play zombie mode with me.

I have no reason to wake up early tomorrow, but that McDonald's comment just got me wishing for sleep. Darn you.

Also, that NCAA game story was quite a ride.

I didn't go to McDonalds, instead I went to the Carl's Jr that was next to the Dunkin. I still want my donut sticks and Egg McMuffin. Maybe I'll take a trip in a little bit.

I thought I had the win, just grind the clock get in position for the FG, and call it a day. Oh it sucked but at the same time it was fun.
