Well good morning Pixlpeeps! I am typing this up real quick so I can make a run to the Pharmacy to pick up some meds (not for me), grab some breakfast (for me) and maybe check out Treasure Hunt or Five Below, depending on how I feel. I really want an ice coffee and hash browns. Hell maybe I’ll just go to the grocery store and buy stuff to make for breakfast. Damn we’ll see.

Chris Watches…

Jeopardy: GOAT - ABC: I’ve been watching this and it has been entertaining. I do like how the three contestants aren’t really taking the competition seriously. Last night James’ Final Jeopardy answer was G.H.O.S.T. (Greatest Host Of Syndicated TV) and started to right Pat Sajak but crossed it out in favor of Alex Trebek.

Mandalorian Jones - Disney+: I started to watch episode 6 and then I did something else. I got a good five minutes in so I think it kinda counts here. More on that next week.

Chris Reads…

The Boys - Issues #10, #11: So I finished up issue 10 that I started last year (get it, last year aka a month ago) and then moved on to issue 11, and I started issue 12. Thanks to the series on Amazon I started reading this series on my Android tablet but I might move them over to my iPad.

Chris Listens…

-I haven’t touched my Podcasts app in a week so there might be a ton of episodes waiting for me. Most of them are from the Datleline Podcast where NBC uses the audio from the old episodes and just uploads them. I just erase the episodes I’ve seen and listen to the others while walking around.

-I went back to checking my Soundcloud and I started listening to some new stuff. I really do love when people remix music to make something new.

-I realized my Spotify App on my Android music player balloons to a crazy size (7GB) so I had to uninstall it, and then reinstall it. I believe Facebook has the same problem.

Chris Goals…

-I haven’t started walking or going to the gym yet. Stop giving me the disappointed look!

-I’ve gone through half of the W’s in my music library and I should be finished with it by the end of today. Also I’m starting to copy over the favorites (4 and 5 star songs) to a folder that I will drag over to my music player.

Chris Randoms…

-So I had the craziest dream a couple of nights ago where I was working as a British Special Agent but based in America with people I know who were in the CIA. We were trying to stop some kind of terrorist but we were moving people to a mall that was apparently a safe place for them.

Then last night I had one of those dreams where you’re back in college but I was my current age and I was working the front desk of my old building but now it was up to date and a random student asked me if it was ok to grow Okra in his room.

I like to blame my random dreams on the Hawaiian Punch drinks you put in bottle water. I drink one earlier in the night before I go to sleep (I brush my teeth afterwards).

-My uncle and his family came to visit which means my little cousin who likes to destroy things also came. For you folks who read Monday’s blog he’s the kid I let play Mariokart. Anyways I said he could play with my Millennium Falcon, and he constantly opened and closed the top of the set. He then told me he loves Transformers and when I said “awesome, did you like the cartoon movie” he said “what cartoon movie.” Poor kid only knows the terrible movies. Anyways we played with my Kre-O Transformers

01

I was Starscream and he was Optimus Prime. I have Sentry Prime as well and I said Sentry wanted to be a Decepticon and his new name would be Decepticon Prime. My cousin got heated because good guys don’t become bad guys.

Pickups

I bought my first CD of 2020

02

Odesza’s A Moment Apart. It was late, and Amazon is quick to changing the status so I don’t email at 9:01pm complaining that I didn’t get my package and I would like a free month of Prime. My original Prime renewal date used to be in January. It’s now in March because of this.

I bought some Lego

03

I guess there’s a new line of $10 mech suits so I bought the Thanos set to get a minifigure version of Thanos. His helmet is just a gold Castle solider helmet. I also got a Captain Marvel polybag with Captain Marvel, a random phone booth (I haven’t seen the movie) and 80s Nick Fury. 80’s Nick Fury looks a lot like Jules Winnefield

04

Oh Pulp Fiction…

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off, have a good weekend!

That’s all for now, more later!

-Chris

I wonder what other news programs from yesteryear might upload a podcast version.

There are probably a couple that I haven't stumbled upon. I do know that if you want to listen to old WWII broadcasts Archive.org has the mp3 files. I downloaded a bunch as well as some old Radio Shows like The Lone Ranger. Those are actually fun to listen to.

I have very WEIRD and vivid dreams, too.  A couple of weeks ago, I dreamed I was a cat and I was eating tinsel from a Christmas decoration.  Then a few days ago, I dreamed I was a Japanese businessman about to board a plane.  When I wake up from most of my dreams, I feel very disoriented for a second, like I don't know where I am at first.

Those are some interesting dreams and its crazy how you can wake up and be disorented for a couple of seconds. I think I should start writing them down when I wake up.

One time I wrote down one of my dreams and posted it as a blog at 1up.com.  It was like the beginning of a Final Fantasy game with a storyline that was very interesting and epic.  In the dream I was a White Mage.

Ha ha. Those dreams are funny. I have crazy dreams too... sometimes when I wake up after one I have to stay up for a while and forget about it before I can go back to sleep.

I do that too if they are a little disturbing. I usually do something jump on Twitter or Reddit for a couple of minutes before getting drowsy and going back to sleep.

I've been picking up used vinyl again, mostly to frame on my wall. I also got a Of Montreal CD the other day - all at my used record store and Goodwill. New music is way overpriced but Barnes & Noble has some budget stuff I might look at soo (I've got a gift card).

I saw your post on Twitter, I dig it. Records have such cool album art because of the size and the creativity of the artists, that many should be displayed. B&N has that crazy upcharge price for music but I do agree their budget stuff is gold. Before the local store removed their music/video section in favor of a toy area, I would find lots of good stuff for $5-10 bucks.

I just looked through their $4.99 section today. Almost bought a few things but didn't. The vinyl they have is really cool and wanted to buy some since they were 50% off, but even with that sale they were still $15, and that's kind of crazy. I got the stuff on my wall for $1-$7 each. Yeah, they're old and scratchy, but I like that.
